What's going on with the dealership fees? Why do I have to pay 8k on top of a used 11k car? For, FFS, what?

 

Thanks for the tips, I kinda figured it out on my own already, but now the shop partially broke for me, because one car slightly overheated on the way back to the shop after completing the required lap time, so I can’t complete the job even though the button is there and I can’t abandon it either

 

That could be from the import dealer, other dealerships have much lower fees but it makes sense for an imported vehicle specialist if they have had to ship it from another country. I bought a TAZ 1200 estate/waggon and the fees were more than the car. Unfortunately the cargo boxes weren't allowing me to carry anything so I had to sell it, though it did sell for more than the original asking price (not including the fees) so I made some of the fees back.

Has anyone else noticed with the RLS career mod active the fuel economy in everything seems to be considerably worse?

 

Yep, the import dealer and it's, or should've been, a flippin' used standard Covet. I mean, that car dealer may be specialized(!) on import cars, but no used car dealer on this planet would extra import already mass imported standard cars. That's ridiculous on every level.
With a new, already expensive Scintilla for example, that would be another story.

Anyway... I tried to change the fee value for the import dealer in rls_career_overhaul_2.6.zip\levels\west_coast_usa\facilities\dealerships.facilities.json from 1500 to 100, but that didn't changed anything ingame. The numbers don't match anyway.
If someone knows where to fix the stupid high fee for the import dealer, please tell me.

 

Does anyone know how to save a vehicle to yuour garage that you spawned in?

 

BeamNG doesn’t load in with mod installed but the game works without it installed but now all my vehicles are gone.

Honestly don’t think I’m saving the vehicles either just checked and they were deleted from all of my saves

Didn’t end up fixing my endless loading problem sadly.

 

Is it just me or are fluid delivery missions not paying nearly what they should, for example, I use a tanker truck to take 8000 units of fluid at 37c per unit. That comes out to $2960, however, on the loading cargo screen, it shows ~$790, but then once I get to the delivery point (often spearleaf refinery pier), I only make ~$190 when dropping it off.... It makes no sense. Are these missions just not worth it anymore?

 

Are you using a loaner tanker or your own? When you use loaner vehicles a cut is taken from the reward. The cut is lowered once you reach higher reputation levels. If you use your own vehicle there is no cut.

 

Currently trying to change the police car pool by editing police.vehGroup.json but every time I repack the mod into a .zip it just breaks? Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Tried using both windows' feature and 7zip.

Edit, I'm dumb, haven't played Beam in ages and forgot the game lets you just unpack the mod. Got it to work now lmao, great job with the mod, by the way, turns beam into ATS and its quite fun.

 

I am using my own tanker, but even so, the cut wouldn't be 90% of the actual mathematical value. I'm saying the mathematical value, the value shown on the loading screen, and the paid value are 3 totally different values.

I tried out the Tuning shop recently just to see what it does, tuned up some cars and went up the skill trees but I noticed that you can't sell it and since I kinda abandoned it, I noticed some issues:

• the phone app doesn't do anything, accepting jobs or assigning techs doesn't work
• since you can't sell or close the shop the balance goes into minus indefinitely
• for some reason there's a job stuck in progress that I can't finish or abort, but the tech, that I had assigned it to is idle

Please make it possible to sell the shop as long as it's balance is still positive and maybe give out a warning that selling means also losing the skill tree progress.
