RLS Mod Installed but Not Working

I have RLS Career mod installed and it shows in my Repository. It's ticked enabled but every time i load into career it's not working.

I've read through forums and the guides. (Including Youtube)

 

Well, maybe it is really working, but you just dont notice.
Also, you may have an outdated version of the mod.
And also, I think you need to start a new save after getting the mod if you want to play with it, although I dont really remember if it is true.

 

I started a new profile, and tried finding all the indicators to the mod but there isnt any.

 

try restarting Beamng or pressing ctrl + L
Maybe that can help

If that doesnt work, you can try clearing cache and veryfing file integrity through steam, and then it needs to work

 

I restarted pressed ctrl + L and verified the game files. but everything is still the same, can you give me some indicators which i should look for to see if its working? im starting with 13.5k money

 

The most noticable one are online dealerships and your garage.
If you have RLS turned on, you will start in Chinatown. And by using laptop, you can see that there are multiple dealerships available from where you can buy cars, and not just list of cars like in vanilla.

 

yeah im not starting in chinatown, but in the default location. rls is definitely not working even tho it says its in my mods.

 

Then maybe you installed it wrongly
or maybe other mods conflict with it

Other than that, try sending the issue to RLS Career Overhaul thread with pics of console

 

What channel shall i send the picture of the console to? and i think i put it in the right place. I just copied what the tutorial tells me to do. Here's a pic

 

Well, firstly, you have 3 different versions of career overhaul.
Just saying that it is absolutely not ok to put 3 versions of one mod in your mods folder, because that can give you a lot of conflicts.
So, just delete the old versions, and keep up with the most modern one (2.5.2)
I also dont remember if the most modern version of italy addon is 1.4, so you can check that too.

And main issue on why you probably dont have the mod working - is that you are using Beamng 0.36, and right now, RLS Career Overhaul 2.5 is made to work with 0.37.5. So, please consider updating your game.

thank you for the help, ill get rid of all the zip files i dont need in that folder. my game is up to date but for some reason its not changing to 0.37 - i look for updates and everything but still says its all up to date.

 

Are you sure you use steam version?

I dont know, try opening the beam folder with launcher
Or you can go to mods ingame, mod dispatch and on the right bottom there needs to be a button which will send you to mods folder

 

It's embarrassing to even say. But deleting all of my mods that were in my mods folder has fixed it. (I didn't even use these mods anyway) Thank you for the help once again! You legend.

I have one more question. I can't quite figure out how to start this Taxi business, could you direct me in the correct path if its not a problem?

 

Well, that means that there was some mod breaking it. Although, you still could save them... ok, you already deleted them.

As far as I remember, you can start taxi job in some taxi app on the phone
I dont remember what was the binding for it, but you can find it in controls settings
