Got my engine in, if anyone wants to race me, feel free But other than that, is everybody OK In that crash that @jerry88 posted?
So speaking of my Burnside, I've been working on a pair of mods, which are still in the approval process. If you'd like to test them out, I'll leave them linked. They're both transmission mods. One adds the 4 speed automatic from the Grand Marshall, and the other adds a 4 speed manual with Overdrive and a 5 speed manual.
Downloading them now, will test! --- Post updated --- Night time has struck in Garfield Heights, and the roads are empty, you know what that means..
Going for a nice drive on a great road in a wonderful car. --- Post updated --- Completely unrelated, but does anyone have the Barstow Convertible mod sitting around on their computer? I accidentally deleted it and it's no longer on the forums.
Breaking News! 20 year old Cory Cook of Belasco, CA dies in a fiery car crash on the Belasco 405 highway. More details to come. Pictures are too graphic to release.
So, I'm getting groceries and one of my shop techs calls about a car he found on Nodeslist. He tells me it's a rear-wheel drive Ibishu Pessima ITEC-Turbo without the optional rev-limiter. Naturally, I tell him "That's bullshit, they didn't make any." And, as anyone familiar with them will tell you, most ITEC-Turbo Pessima's had AWD and the rev-limiter. Whelp, was I wrong. Apparently, this Pessima was one of a set of three, presented to the CEO of a Korean conglomerate as a gift of gratitude, and the three that were made differed in some way, from color to mechanical spec. This one is white, and has all the features of the 16V ITEC-Turbo, but is rear-wheel drive and doesn't have the rev-limiter. While it might not be obvious, I'm a huge fan of ITEC Ibishu's. I mean, hey, I had one with the 16V DOHC I4 as my first car. The guy selling it wants $35k for it. Should I take the bait, or nah? Sorry for the sub-standard quality of the photo, this was what the tech sent to me.
That's what I'm leaning towards, too, but having seen the pictures I was sent, the car looks immaculate. Not a single dent, scratch or speck of dirt on it, and the guy selling it said he knew the original owner personally. There's even pics of the car being driven by that CEO in the '90s (I think '90 or '91). Tech says it's only got 4k miles on it, and the seller's been truthful so far.
I heard recently that there are many people in BeamBay and Nodeslist selling similar offers and most of them are fake. One of my friends have bought a "Civetta Bolide 390GTR Nomi Edition" in BeamBay and he lost $100K on the purchase, as he ended up overpaying for the "Nomi Edition" which was actually a stock Bolide 320.
(because this is going to be my last post on this group in a while, I'm going to end it with this..) Cmon'! Win the race! Right.. Where am I going.. HOLY VENCAK- News: Multiple reported dead in accident on A1JRI.
*Watching Local news TV at home* Nothing is go... Wait what? a police chase? Let me see here... Garfield Heights News: About 2 weeks ago, a huge police chase went though Garfield Heights at 1:30 PM to around 2:25 PM. Footage has finally been leaked from the Garfield Heights Police. The chase started and ended at Garfield Heights. The truck was stolen from a man's house while he left the truck running and the door open when he went to grab his toolbox. The suspect drove the piss out of the truck, and saved it a countless amount of times while driving the truck. It's going to be sold at a local salvage yard, and the guy had insurance on the truck, so he will get it replaced. The suspect crashed the truck into a wall after the rear axle snapped, and broke the engine. cop cars stopped following the vehicle, and the helicopter followed him until he crashed. Here are words spoken from the owner of the truck: "That truck was my pride, bought it brand new, and some evil man stole it? Just.. Unbelievable.." Clayton Reed now owns the truck (me) and it's at his salvage yard in Rainbow Crossing. The suspect was not hurt when he crashed the truck, but just a fun fact: the truck was a king rancher D-Series, a expensive limited edition powerful truck, 8000 where produced. Video leaked weeks after the chase: (bad quality due to my rendering software sucks)
My new job, is to keep guard of the auto show, in the town next to Garfeild Heights. This sweet new Dealership was built, and on the weekends, they have an auto Show from 6:00 to 10:00. Take a look at the new sneak peak:
Well guys, I bit the bullet and bought... A 1989 Ibishu Pessima. But not just any 1989 Ibishu Pessima - This is a one-of-a-kind Pessima 16V-Turbo ITEC that was presented to the CEO of the Seoul Superheavy Industries conglomerate (which Ibishu is a member of) in 1990 as a token of gratitude. But, SSI's CEO didn't quite like the car in its original form (2.0L 16v DOHC I4, all-wheel drive, etc.), so Ibiushi took the car back to its Kyoto factory and did... Something special to it. That something includes converting it from AWD to RWD (despite what the badging and decals say - this is a rear-wheel drive car), adding in the 6-speed race gearbox from the Pessima rally car, and giving it the wide rally fenders. The reasoning for this, from what I know, was to emulate the driving experience of the Pessima Coupe. It's got the 2.0L DOHC I4 with Turbo-ITEC, and a limited-slip diff, which means this thing slides.
Congrats on the buy. My question is: What will you do to it? If i had that car, it would just sit inside of a garage..
