+you can't actually register a cut-off car. In documents, it comes as "front part" and "rear part", and not the body. Therefore, the only way to register it is crime.

About the cut-offs, my friend tried to get a 200BX Type-VS and couldn't register it - it was a cut-off. There is a plenty of stories about this.
