Well it's official, I think my transmission and my transferase is junk. I'll be selling my hopper on the Selling cars thread If anyone wants it as I don't have the time to fix it.
So I listed the D25 and within a day it was sold. It's bittersweet because I owned the truck for almost a full year and put nearly 25,000 miles on it, without having to do any sort of work to it other than wear items and fluid changes. I would have really liked to have built it into some sort of trail truck but it was too clean for me to hack up. I'm going to start looking for another project or two now that I have some sufficient money, maybe a Hopper or another muscle car.
I already sold my Hopper! I'm glad that somebody else can enjoy it as I'm basically stuck in my small office all-day doing work. Edit: deleted as role playing a gas crisis would be pretty time consuming Should probably sell my Bluebuck as well....
I picked up the Hopper from @Tuner from America As soon as I got it to my house and unhitched the trailer from my truck, I was on my way to the salvage yard in town to pick up a remanufactured transmission and transfercase. I decided to get a manual transmission instead of the auto so I also grabbed a clutch kit. There was a lot I wanted to change on the Hopper, but I figured my best bet was to try to get it drivable again to see if I enjoyed it enough to do a ton of work to it. On my way home, the check engine light came on in my forest service truck. I decided that I'd drop it off at the station tomorrow on my way to work so that way I didn't get in trouble for fixing it "my way." I got the truck and the new trans and T-case home and began to drop the old trans out of the Hopper before calling it a night. (Also, @Tuner from America did the Hopper have a spare tire on your config?)
( Yes it did ) Well I just traded In my ancient Bluebuck for a sweet, 80's German sports sedan, Say hello to my new car! It still has it's original EU plates bolted on but it is a legal imported car, I just need some new plates and I'm good to go. --Later-- Alright the new plates are on, have fun billing me toll booths
I have my Bluebuck as my only car right now. The only Ibishu Kashira I saw was taken pretty quickly. Along with the workhorse I need, I also want a sportier car. Maybe even a drift build out of it. --- Post updated --- Okay, I got a new project. It is in pretty bad condition, I had to pick up some new seats at a junkyard, but at least it runs. --- Post updated --- May have to do an engine swap at some point... anyway, I'm gonna begin work on it. I think the first priority is probably driving it around a bit, see how it goes. --- Post updated --- I have a lot of work to do. I ordered a new fender, so that I can do a respray and get some good looking paint. --- Post updated --- Looks so much better with a fresh paint job. I also ordered some new wheels that should be here soon.
New wheels have arrived for my 200bx. I’m not sure if I want it to drift or race. Maybe i’ll just get some sport tires and have it do both.
My boss is going to pay me today so thats nice, also got a couple more money... got 6150 now if my boss pays me now if not 2300
