Right before the workshop closed, a man in a new-er Pessima approached the building and the shy driver asked me if I can change his oil. Since it was only a oil change I said yes and got the car onto a lift while the customer waited in the lobby. When the car was drained of all it's oil and back on the ground, I decided to open the trunk out of curiosity since the car was leaning towards the rear while on the lift. But as soon I opened the trunk I closed it as fast as I could and called 911 911: "This is 911, what is your emergency?" Me: "Holy shit, holy shit" 911: "Sir we are going to have to ask you to calm down, what is your emergency" Me: "I work at the local auto workshop and upon opening the trunk of a customers car, I spotted approx. 20ish, 1 gallon Beamlite storage containers full of weed and cocaine." 911: "Officers are on their way, if you can, try to stall the customer until the cops arrive and detain him." Me: "Alright, will do for sure." I then hung up and begun to make loud, obnoxious noises in the workshop, before walking into the lobby and telling the customer that It will be another 10 minutes or so since the drain plug has been misplaced (lie). It was only 3 minutes later when a dozen of cop cars flew into the parking lot with a cop walking up to the open garage door asking where he is. I gestured to the now frightened, lonely man in the lobby and they promptly arrested him while searching his vehicle for more drugs. It was another 30 minutes before they left and impounded the vehicle. In total they confiscated 96 pounds of drugs and 2 illegal firearms. The cops promptly thanked me with the sheriff giving me his contact info incase I ever need his help again. By this point Cory and the other mechanic had already left for home a hour before the whole ordeal went down so I left Cory a lengthy text explaining what happened so he wouldn't be left out in the dark in terms of news. I got all my things together and quickly left for home. TL;DR accidentally found drugs in a customers car, cops called.
As the ratty blue D-series and pockmarked Moonhawk roll up to camp, I step out onto the road. "You coming?" Brien asks. "Yeah, and I've got the perfect car for our needs." I reply. With that, I pull the tarp off of my shimmering SBR4.
"Holy crap, man! How much did you take out of your retirement fund to pay for that?" I say as I stare at the car. "Dude, are you sure you want to take that thing? If I were you, I'd feel bad even driving that car down a dirt road, it's immaculate!"
Wow! Going through your midlife crisis? --- Post updated --- So, anyway, from what I’ve learned some of the guys from that place we let the Police clear out survived. What’s left of them seems to have banded together with other groups. They stalk their “prey” and strike when they are at their most vulnerable, like once I had put their vans down to paranoia and then they smashed me into the wall. Their funding must be pretty large being able to afford all the vans, and they are obviously very stealthy. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are hiding in Utah with new cars waiting to strike. Also, it seems like they more want to capture us rather than kill us, so we’ll probably be safe from death, but not being captured. If they surround us, which could very well happen, I’m pretty sure if we fight back they will just force us to surrender or shoot our legs. So, if worst comes to worst, I don’t think fighting back is the best solution. It will be easier to escape captivity with working legs. That’s all I’ve been able to dig up, and I’m not really sure how we’re gonna take them down.
So this morning when I arrived at work, I received the message from @Tuner from America and couldn't help but laugh to myself. I then made a trip to the Utah visitor center and set up a deal where we would be responsible for repairing and maintaining the Cooper offroad tour Hoppers. This will be a major benefit to the shop because for the next five years (that's how long the contract is good for and then it will have to be renewed), we will have a constant source of income no matter how few or many customers we have otherwise. The company pays us a yearly sum up front, and then we will collect commission every time we work on one of their Hoppers. On my way back, I had to stop at one of the scenic lookouts and saw for the first time through my own eyes how amazing this area of the state really is.
Well everyone is in Utah great! --- Post updated --- I wake up about 9AM. Cooked eggs and got coffee. Then thinked I need to visit park.Then got outside sited in car and started driving then one moment the engine started lose power so I taked it to local repair shop.
*Sits at desk waiting for a potential customer* *Then a cream colored bolide approaches the building with the driver looking mildly upset, the driver gets out and comes inside.* Me: "Hello sir, how may I be of help to you today?" Denis: "I was out and about going to the national park when my bolide started to lose power on the highway, I immediately turned off the road and came straight here." Me: "Hm, well lets get it on a lift then so I can properly diagnose it. I'll be needing the keys for that." Denis: "Alright here's the keys, I'll wait here." * I then grab the car and get it onto a available lift, I open the rear hood and start to check every issue that comes to mind. Eventually I find that the injectors on cylinder's 7, 5, 3, and 1, the fuel is coming out less pressurized than the other bank of cylinders. I then go into the lobby and tell Denis what's going on to see if he wants to fix it and pay for it. Me: "Hey there, so your fuel injectors on cylinders 1, 3, 5, 7 is failing and isn't suppling enough fuel for what your car needs to even idle properly. Now it's going to cost some money since we have to special order the parts and gaskets from Belasco, but at least it wont be as expensive as a Civetta specialist would normally charge.
(Nice rp) How much it will gonna cost? This was car from Italy my grandpa gave me and sayd I am to old to drive this car fix it and love this thing.
Me: "Well each individual injector is 200$ from the official parts catalog, so if you times that by 4 then you get a grand total of 800$ excluding labor and new fuel lines just for those 4 injectors. I'm going to take a guess and estimate the grand total to be 1300$, but it'll last for many miles to come."
Thinks I only got 1.500$ But I need to fix a car Ok! Good luck on it *Pays* Planning to ask my boss for promotion because this job is hard. -Asks how much it will take?
"Alright, I'll start working on it right away then." I walk out into the garage and start to work on the car, a couple hours later and some accidental cuts. I finish up the repair, by this point Denis has left and taken the bus back home so I leave him a voicemail on his phone number and I too leave for home since I was only working a half day at the shop.
