So now that we’ve all got cars, I think we should consider buying some protection. I have a revolver, and I’m not sure what you guys have, but some assault rifles might be better. It’s Utah, so I’m sure we can find a gun shop somewhere.

    *As @98crownvic , @zestyfolfdude and I chat, a black I-Series pulls into the campsite*

Hi Denis, your keys should already be in your car. It's in the open garage bay so go ahead and take it away.

Today at the shop turned out to be a pretty busy day. If this is any indication of the future of the business, it's safe to say we'll be pretty well off.
Shortly after Denis picked up his car, one of the Cooper tour Hoppers was brought in, needing a front axle shaft replaced after a universal joint came apart and sheared the ears off of the inner axle shaft. A job I had completed many times in the past, and now working on a rust-free vehicle, I was able to knock this one out really quick.

Next I took on the task of diagnosing a misfire on this Bluebuck. It was still using a points ignition system, which wound up being the root of the problem. The "cam" for the points breaker inside of the distributor had a lobe that was more rounded off than the others and wasn't allowing the breaker to open, causing the misfire. I was able to add some material back onto the lobe with a TIG welder and some filler rod before reshaping it to make it look factory. After reassembling the distributor, it was time to send this one on its way as well.

Around the same time that I was wrapping up the Bluebuck, a Trackfab buggy pulled in, looking to get a custom front bash bar built. I used some steel tubing that we had laying around the shop as well as some aluminum sheet metal to build a bumper and skid plate. I have to say that I think it turned out alright.

Tomorrow being Sunday, I asked @Tuner from America if he wanted to hit some trails the next morning because the shop will be closed.

While eating dinner I receive a text from Cory asking me if I wanted to go off-roading tomorrow with him. being that I'm new in town and I don't have anything planned. I say yes and start preparing my hopper for tomorrow's outing. ( removing the soft top and the doors entirely to shed weight, and gain more visibility.)

After a short debate about what I want to take tomorrow (the bone stock D25 or my Hopper on 31s), I make the more logical decision to take the Hopper. I as well take my soft top and doors off, and also drop my tire pressure to 12 PSI.

I Wake up and get ready for off-roading, I grab my keys and open up the hangar doors to reveal my red hopper. I spend some time cleaning my radiator and adding coolant so I don't overheat in the desert, I then shoot @Cory5503 a text letting him know that I'll be waiting inside of the hangar for when he arrives.

Early this morning, I loaded up the Hopper with tools, spare parts, and an assortment of fluids. I then went next door to the gas station and topped it off, as well as grabbed some snacks and a drink from the convenience store.
    screenshot_2019-12-15_11-49-44.png
I waited until @Tuner from America texted me and I took a drive over to his hangar.

    "Sounds good"
I hop back into my Hopper and fire it up, then let @Tuner from America pass me so he can lead the way to the trail.
    screenshot_2019-12-15_12-18-51.png
After some driving on road, we finally arrive at the trailhead.

When we arrive I put my car in 4 wheel Lo and lock my front and rear diffs, I then cruise over the rocks without any damages. Cory then follows suit in his Hopper.

Coming down the next obstacle, Tuner picked a tire up but nowhere enough to cause any trouble.
    screenshot_2019-12-15_13-10-46.png
However, the same cannot be said for myself, as it got really sketchy when I took a bad line and almost rolled it.
    screenshot_2019-12-15_13-12-53.png
Both Hoppers made it out alright though.

When we reach the bottom section of the big rocks, we come across a old mineshaft. We get out and take a few photos of it before continuing on.
    screenshot_2019-12-15_13-20-30.png
We then go over some more rocks before cruising into some flatter terrain, I then Gesture for Cory to lead in front of me since I've been leading this entire time.

So guys, you want to buy the guns? I also think we should buy a camper trailer, as the tents really aren’t good for my back.

    * @98crownvic and @zestyfolfdude ponder the thought as the suspicious ETK silently pulls closer *

    *Reads the sign

Nate: This Burnside isn't design to go off-road... Let see if it is...
