*Restart* Name: Mathias Simmons Age: 21 House: Fishing Village, Firwood, Maine. Job: US Forest Service Ranger Vehicles: Modified 1986 Gavril D35, 1994 Gavril LXT35 Roamer, 1985 D25 long bed (not owned by me, work truck). Misc. Info: Growing up in Firwood, my family didn't always have money to spare on Lego's and toy guns. So I mostly hanged out with my friends near the local junkyard since we would all go and explore. I had met @Cory5503 in 6th grade, and @Denis15 towards the end of Highschool. From there me and Cory got all of the requirements filled out for being a US forest ranger, and both got the job after we graduated from Highschool. I had just recently gathered enough money to do a custom 3-link suspension to my first truck, a '86 D35, and did some other upgrades on it too. I also bought this LXT35 on a loan from the bank, still owe like 3K left on it. With news of Cory's leave at the US forest ranger station, I'd decided that I would also follow suit since the job has become quite boring. But what will I do for my next job?...
(I’m gonna change my career from cop to sketchy lawyer.) I’ve recently picked up a job as a lawyer, along with other things. Not everything I do is legal, but it’ll keep you out of trouble. Stop by my office if you’ve ever dig yourself into a pit, and I’ll dig you right out. Just call me at 1800-Beam.Lawyer and ask for Saul. In other news, I’ve traded in my old Pessima for a new Tograc. It’s put a dent in my funds, but my illegal partnerships and legal(ish) lawyer business is becoming more and more popular.
@Tuner from America helped me grab a new donor I-Series for the one that I purchased wrecked. We flat towed the car home behind Mathias's Roamer, since it didn't have an engine or trans. I got it from the Firwood salvage yard for $600 as a roller, however, the shell is in really good shape and is already the same shade of white as my I-Series. It also came with the factory-optioned transfercase and front differential setup for AWD, which will be great for my plans to build a wickedly fast rally car.
*Restart* Name: Denis Jeims Age: 21 Ocupation: Bus driver Cars: Old shitty bus House: Inside my bus/ East Coast USA Misc info: I was born in Germany. I grew in not very rich family they did everything that I would get great life. They live in Italy so I go there to visit them. I met @Tuner from America at the end of Highschool when I just got here also I met @Cory5503 thru @Tuner from America they were my best friends till now. I got this bus from my grandpa. It's diesel, 210T turbo ,no passenger seats only bed and other stuff. It's 1997 year so it have seen better days. Planning to get loan and buy a house. Today I will be here. This bus has seen better days My work location
So more information about my work My boss is friendly and I drive this white-premium bus. My route is near farmhouse-Fishing town-Maine. I love my job also they pay me well.
After getting a "bit" tipsy last night, I won an online car auction for a fully restored 1970 Gavril Barstow, 423 RS manual in Royal blue for 9K. But after waking up today, I realized that I don't have a job anymore and now I only have 1800$ in my bank account. Even worse is that there's an upcoming car payment on my LXT35 and I may not be able to pay that off after paying some other monthly bills. Now I really need to find a job. (Car was put on over night shipping? apparently that's a thing now among car transporting companies.)
I’ve become a part of a new illegal business. I don’t ask what the guys are doing, but they have me do their money laundering. It sure is helpful that Firwood has no dedicated cops to this sort of stuff.
*Forward 3 days* I traded my bus for this rare manual Ibishu 200 BX L-type and finally it is at home. Also took loan and bought this house.
I basically wrapped up phase one of the semi-cheap I-Series revival. I got all of the parts from the wrecked I-Series swapped over to the donor shell, besides the parts I didn't want on it, such as the front lip and the Basketweave wheels. It drives amazing, but likes to break the tires loose when it's pushing 20 lbs of boost. I took it for a quick test drive down by the bay. It looks really nice when the sun hits it. I put all of the good parts that I didn't scavenge from the donor car on the wrecked car, which was now just a rolling shell itself. For now, that one sits in my side yard. It'll be for sale on the selling cars thread shortly.
the thinso a lot has happened in the time i was gone. (aka too lazy to post) i got a letter about my old garage. apparently the abandoned factorys will soon start up again. tbh when i bought the place, i only bought the garage and lot, which was possible since the other building was out of use. i decided to pack my wrench, and move to a new spot. that spot being here: the spot is a little out of view, but luckily, i could work something out with the owners of the bookstore. they let me rent the parking spot before the entrance, where i parked the company van: ive also gotten a new car, an old moonhawk. the thing has an i6 and is an automatic, which i might change later on. it has been treated well its entire life, still in great condition. the thing cost me 5000 dollars, but i think it was worth it. it runs like it just came out of the factory. a car which im happy to have in my arsenal. anyway, first thing im going to do when the move is finished is giving it a tow hitch. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- also, just thought it would be a good idea to do a little refresher of my character: name: Harry Johnson age: 39 occupation: mechanic, owner of a local company. cars: red moonhawk i6, a manual etk 2400ixL and a burnside special cruise. hobbys: working on old cars, collecting stuff. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- anyway, we at beamrepairs are looking forward to seeing you, and no, this does not mean we want you to crash.
So I got new job. I work as school bus driver now they pay me well and I drive this bus. It's one of these modernized busses. After saving money I wanted to start new project so I started to look for a car. After time I found this 220k mile hopper it has rusty frame and undercarrier. 4 cilinders, 5 speed manual and suspension is done. and no roll bar. Well still I bought it it was at the farmhouse. I paid 5k for it. I asked my buddy for help and he acepeted The hardest thing was to get this thing into trailer but we managed to get it We drove home *After some time* So I bought new off-road springs (4x) and also bought off-road shocks (4x) and springs had discount so I picked all four for 400 dollars, shocks-440 dollars so in total 840 dollars and also bought spare wheel cover Got home and unloaded everything here how it was looking before *After hours of working* Here it is the final product
Bought these used wheels for 650 dollars. It has all-terrain tires it's not new but it will fit. 1808 dollars left
Finally got a job! there was an opening at a new trucking depot in town for a cross country hauler, and I immediately rang them up and got a interview set up. When I got there I was the only person who had called so far, so as soon we wrapped up the amazing interview. They hired me and actually put me to work straight away, in which I didn't mind. It was just a simple load of steel pipes to a exhaust shop, nothing special. But from that short trip I had made a whopping 400$. But after my company's share was taken I was left with 380$, still not too bad of a price gouge, but still enough to notice. Nonetheless I went home satisfied, in my newly bought '70 Barstow 423 RS.
New day new progress! Today I got to autoservice to remove rust I paid 750$ also I bought HF antenna with CB radio for 250$ in total 1000$ and now I have 800$ left.
I scheduled a dyno session at Mainestreet Performance with my I-Series. It's still on whatever unknown tune it had from the previous car so I figured it would be smart to get a fresh map in it. I drove it there today, just praying that I would leave with the same amount of oil pressure I had on my drive there. I estimated it makes around 375 HP on its current tune. When we made a dyno run on its current tune, it surprised me (as well as the tuner from Mainestreet I think) and made 410 HP. Some time and a few degrees of timing later and we made nearly 450 HP on the same amount of boost. Some time and a few degrees of timing later and we made nearly 450 HP on the same amount of boost. I decided to call the quits there, as my session was almost up and 450 was more than enough power, while staying at a safe level for the engine. I then decided I had to test all 450 horsepower out so I took the car for a short drive to "Mexico" and annihilated my rear tires.
