Make sure it is in: Docs / BeamNG Drive / mods / Vehicles Not just in the mods folder, but in a vehicles folder inside the mods folder. Currently there is no icon because of a conflict with the semi file so it will show a white background that blends in with the background of the page there should however be a label "School Bus" it may be the last one at the bottom of the page.
The file I included is your mod, with the changes I told you earlier. As you can see for yourself, it works just by dropping it in the mods folder. The only thing I forgot to mention is not to use spaces in file or folder names.
Amber I wanted to screen shot the problem with the bus the rear wheel on the right when i turned to hard on it it got stuck to the body so look at this ,this is what happens i think it might be some body issue.
Yeah it's what in currently working to fix, I maxed the strength of the beams but it still breaks easily, I'll have to see what's causing it to break
Ill help you okay go to steam and right click beamng drive on the left side were the list of games are then after you right click it you see properties at the bottom then you click that a nother box should pop up then click browse local files after you clicked that a folder should pop up find content then click that it should say vehicles and levels click vehicles and put the bus file in there be sure to click the bus file untill it says school bus right before all the j beam files and texture.
thats the old way of doing the mods. go to documents beamng mods then make to new folders call one vehicles and the other one levels and wala. create a folder by right clicking then new and folder. the way scott125 is saying doesnt always work or doesnt work properly. @PhoenixMKW52
found you issue with the suspention. the wheels a getting cought in the buses body jbeam. also losened up the suspention
1. No spaces in file names. 2. Actually rename the folder so it isn't called "semi" anymore, and put it inside "vehicles" inside the zip. I'm not sure what you're not understanding, the structure should be "schoolbus.zip/vehicles/schoolbus/", that's it.
Looks awesome! just finished downloading! Also BTW do you mind if I made a preview image for it? edit: Oh nevermind I see it already exists, carry along then
I have noticed something weird The bus is way too fast The first picture is the original bus engine 0-100 km/h test What i have done is created a separate slot in the engine.jbeam file and made the stock bus be fast, but by selecting empty, The bus becomes slightly more realistic. I cannot upload this unless AmberPixel21 gives me permission to do so, also AmberPixel does have my permission to modify this altered file.
The bus has a modified engine for higher speeds for testing purposes, I wish I could get it up to 180mph! Originally it had the semi engine which was more realistic but it took to long to reach top speed. I intend to create a 6 speed Cummins Diesel Engine for the final release. For the rear wheel suspension problem I have to turn off the coltris for that section of the body thanks for the find!
Alright, I'll try to create an engine file for you with a Cummins engine! I'll contact you via PM when I ask questions and get updates!
Thanks that would help me alot! I decided not to do a beta testing group, I think its better to have the whole community in on this
tried to download the mod 5 times,it says 50(varies each time i downloaded it) minutes remaining and it takes forever,a few minuites i come back and check on it and the download has failed. it might just be a problem with my internet,i will try again tomorrow afternoon after school
