Im thinking about bunch of other stuff mostly for atmosphere and immersion but it requires jbeam, if you knowledgeable about the jbeam system i could use your help
I was bored 2 weeks ago and decided to make a body kit to look more like a gt3 race car It's pretty rough, especially the rear. But I just the front made wider with fender vents and the rear is a modified flare to add the vent in the rear I also did different mirrors on an early version but haven't got around to making them properly yet.
@Exchy what are the things you are working on ? Maybe i could help for some of those, and also it's still your mod in the end so i don't want to just remodel things you did without consulting you about things, for example i was working on the interior (nets, etc.) and i noticed the vent was clipping weirdly through the dash. I found a position where i could easily make a hole for it but it wouldn't be directed as much to the driver.
Also, what font did you use/how did you make the Civetta and Scintilla logos ? I'm currrently retexturing/pbring a bunch of stuff
Clipping seamlessly is what i do sometimes, you probably seen how canards done, time efficiency with minimal effort and none will notice --- Post updated --- Eh, my favourite font probably MinimaExpanded ssk or ssd what was it i dont remember, i have psd but just busy rn even wheb should rest today, hopefully will contact you on evening
Yeah but it not clipping could look nicer. I'll show you some modification i've done and you'll tell me if you're ok with them.
So, here's the location i'm suggesting for the vent: Here's what it looks like from driver POV: Also, as i was making the handles PBR with normal maps and all that stuff, i noticed there was no composite carbon texture in the game and i couldn't find one on the internet, so i'm also suggesting to make the wheel carbon fiber: Lastly, i assigned the oilcooler material to the fuel caps and modified them a bit: I'm currently making the winshield banner and the top of the wing PBR and then i'll take care of the net.
tried to seek decent motion blur for last 2 days, didn't find any good. Also non of screen shakes, beamng default camera maxed for inertia, still not close
I've got a suggestion: The white part is the rear view mirror/screen, and the airvent would go in the bracket at the right What do y'all think ? --- Post updated --- Here's an additionnal view Waiting for feedback before i make the airvent
0 idea, what's with the graphics anyway --- Post updated --- And just copy past it to left side on driver. Acc screen
And just copy past it to left side on driver Maybe like that? Or from the other side, don't know really, just i know it should be pointed somewhere to driver
The airflow direction is pretty close to the driver's head, just aside basically --- Post updated --- @Exchy How about that --- Post updated --- There's no way to put a net on the left, the clearance is way too small. Not a big deal, not every GT3 car has 2 nets anyways
By rules they technically should have 2 nets. If they don’t then it will be the inner net not the one by the window that isn’t ran. The net being close to the seat is pretty normal. The clearance problems are probably from the seat you are using anyway. Real race seats have slightly narrower shoulder bolsters. You could also move the seat closer towards the middle of the cars which is a thing most GT3 cars do to be able to have room for the roll cage and move more weight closer to the center of the car. Some cars will move the steering column when they do this others won’t do it means it slightly off center which feels weird at first but once you start driving it feels fine. (And an example of the shifted seating position and digital dash vs road car)
