Of course, happy to do something back for your work on the map,I have to make a mod for it first, I'll try to do this today(Tuesday) then I wil post it on my page. Feel free to used it.
Awesome. If you don´t mind I would implement the skins in the map? They are perfect for the park ranger missions. If its not too much work.. would it be possible to also make the skin work on the D-series? They are currently the default park ranger vehicles
I make the skins for myself, and for the community, and yes,you can used them in your map, no problem, glad I can to something for the map makers. I shall see, if I can make something for the D series, take some time, and I am trying to make licenseplates too, standerd there is a california plate on those vehicles, thats stranges in you map. And those cars are colourble, so if you want to change the colour, you can, the vehicle, and the decals.
Tried to make some licenses plates, unfortunaly, with normal plates, the numbers en text keeps to little, and I can not figure out what to do to that, I made a plate with a fixt number, it looks nice, but all the cars have then the same number, I could make more than one, police1, police2, police3, but that's not how it should be. Maybe someone here nows how to get bigger numbers on licenseplates? I would here that very much.
Nice work 'Murokmakto'...like this type of area, looks interesting and in the right type of lighting should provide lots of shadow shapes for screenshots. ...and thanks to 'THom6502' for adding some help to make this Map look and feel more exciting
After some reading and trying(and failing) I can now make police licenseplates for Skeleton Coast with automatic numbers, I can now also make GRN plates (government) for the WLP cars I think. Something like this These plates are an other problem, 2 lines, that will be an other headache. These are for normale cars in Namibia I think --- Post updated --- I am glad I can do something back for all the hard work the map makers do, we have to keep them happy, so they can make more maps for us ;>)
Police licenseplates looking great! Was worth the effort! Yes it seems like the 2 line number plates are a pain in the ass.. they are also rare in the other licenseplate packs available on the repo... however, almost all offroad cars in beamng use them... so i fear there is no way around them really... thank you for your effort, I really appreciate it!
I do have another Idear wich will change only a part of the licenseplate, so it will be one line that change, but I have to try out, and look if that is ok graphical, so we have to wait for that. The police, and the government plates are working now, so 2/3 is finisched :>)
I thinnk I have a solution for the Namibia licenseplates, here are some foto's. @Murokmakto I put 2 links on your discord server, have fun with it.
New years update: After weeks of frustrating back and forth work, I can call this somewhat "working" by now... still a lot to do but this is where it goes: the "low poly lands". This is the biggest update to the map so far. Both in size and in the amount of work it took to make it. I´ve added a new background to the map which is 60x15km large, which adds up to an area of 900km². Yes, this is partially drivable. This will make it one of the largest BeamNG maps I know. Needless to say this won´t be such high detail and quality than the rest of the map. The quality will be comparable to the Johnson Valley background, the Highway that exits the map and the area where its possible to exit the map and go on the salt flats. So you can expect something like that. However, there is a highway going through the map addition which does not stop after some 2km like Johnson Valley, but goes on for over 65km to a small town at the end of it. I´ve always been annoyed that trucking and long distance driving doesn´t really work in BeamNG for the lack of larger maps. So here´s my attempt to do something about that. This is far from being finished and I still struggle with all sorts of problems. But I hope to make it work properly and offer a unique driving experience with this map. happy new year anyways
Wow! This is impressive. I think you need a piece of chewing gum and a good radio station for this long road . I'm very curious! I've driven a few long African roads myself and a regular look at the temperature displays doesn't do any harm. What is the noon outside temperature on your map?
That is a surprisingly tempting offer to become a Beta Tester to get access to this map...maybe I should do it....
Happy New Year to your to...keep the faith in your skill and patience, there's usually help not far away when you need it. Liking that long cruizing road though...'Route 66' vides for sure
