Yes, that CRAZY dude. But can you do something? GO get my file that I put up and put it in the first post so that everyone can use it correctly. If you dont mind
The correct way is to make a "vehicles\latemodel" folder in the zip. it won't overwrite the original mod, but it'll let the skins work with the original mod just by placing the ZIP in the mods folder
I did that since the file wasnt working correctly. Have you looked at the one that I posted? Not trying to bug you
requesting help: just finished my own personal skin for the lmsc... how do I put it ingame? DISCLAIMER: its my first skin ever, heres the file
GODDANGIT HOW DO I GET THE DAMN SKIN INGAME? EDIT: Jeez, sorry, little outburst there, its just that I have no knowledge of getting the car ingame, and it has been over 2 hours with no help I formally apologize for the outburst
The way I did it: Create a folder in the latemodel folder and title it whatever you want (IE: skin_final) Copy all 3 files from one of the default skins and paste them into your folder delete the skin.dds file rename the jbeam to "skin_final.jbeam" without the quotes edit the materials.cs file with notepad+ locate anywhere it says the name of the default skin (IE: if you're using the files from the amsoil car, delete anything that says "amsoil" and replace it with "final") rename your final.dds to "skin.dds" and insert that into the folder hopefully that works
working on it, there is 4 dds's though (skin, skin overlay, tire, spring), which 3 am i supposed to copy, i would assume leaving out skin overlay though --- Post updated --- which 3 files? --- Post updated --- WAIT, nevermind i got it now, thanks! --- Post updated --- ive done everything, yet the skin fails to show up in parts selector? heres everything in the file that i put in the latemodel zip... hopefully you or i can find something wrong with it, it is all named skin_alder
