Due, to the new Blender JBeam plugin, released in 0.30, I will be able, to make the JBeam for the fabia even better, but I need to get in touch with it, before you can see proper results.
TEMPORARY RETIREMENT Hey everyone, I already wrote it to Frav and he can decide, if he wants to continue. I don´t really know, how to say it, but I´m struggeling around with it and need to do it now... At the moment, this is my last year, I have in school. I have to write a lot of tests and preparations for the final exams, I have to write, when I want to get my A-level. The thing is, past weeks, I had a lot of struggle, with school, especcially to bring school, music (I play in a BigBand), and modding, along with free time for some not- computer activities. It´s a very difficult time in my life at the moment and I put a lot of pressure on me, with doing steady progress for the mod. Today, the version 0.30 of BeamNG.drive was released and brought a new Blender JBeam tool. I will try to use it for the Fabia and hope, I can create in this way a nice JBeam for the mod. But it will take a lot of time. Not only, because, I need to understand the whole thing, but also, because I made the decision, to drastically reduce my modding activity. I will put more, of my free time into school, I need, to do it, if I want to pass my A-level. I know, this must feel very bad for you and the community, who is around my thread, but if I won´t do something against, my stress level would drasticially increase, like in the past weeks. To make the things easier, I think it´s the best decision to set the mod on "on hold", if it´s okay for you and go inactive for a time, like JorgePinto did it. If Frav wants to continue the work on this mod, he can do so. But I need this break from modding and I don´t know, how long it will be, but I will continue, working on the mod, if I have much time, because modding, I learned, is something, you need a lot of time for. I don´t have any plans, to let this mod die, I will set it on hold, write something in the title and log out. I might be online sometimes, but dont expect anything please. If I have the time, I will continue. I hope, you can understand me in my situation! Sincerly, Schmitti
I totally get the pressure of all the stuff happening. It’s understandable if you need to take a break, after all life is more important than some silly mod. Hope you pass the A-level! HI IM SAUL GOO- *ahem* I mean yeah, that’s exactly what it’s for. Some don’t get that modders also have a life, but it’s just a matter of having that knowledge.
Good to see someone actually wanting to put effort, and not just stealing and reuploading some garbage "update". I'd be happy to assist however I can.
Okay just saw the message from Schmitti i think your very happy to see good progress on this mod, I hope Frav keeps going because that is A W Its fine man you deserve a break good luck in the future.
I probably won't be continuing this project as of now. The mod still needs a lot of work to be in a completed, usable state. it's a shame to cancel this, but I don't have the time right now to make the rest of this mod. If I were to try finishing it, progress would be very slow, and it may be cancelled again. Therefore, I will no longer be involved in the development of this mod. It was fun while it lasted.
So I was scrolling through the messages, and saw this one, specifically the part with the paint design slot. Note this: if there’s a slot, but it has no parts, then it will not show up. So if you have a Paint Design slot, but no actual Paint Designs, then the slot just won’t appear Hope this helps when you get back to this, and remember to not rush it
Yes, I know. I already managed it to get it to work, but the skins weren't appearing in the World editor. As they appeared, they didn't work. I found out why. Because you habe to set the UV layer of the skin to 1, then it will work. By the way, Frav is fixing some little stuff up and will send it then to me.
Yes, it moved back to WIP! Tomorrow, I will add lettering and Badges. Maybe some gauges aswell... What do you think of a tow hitch? I have to say it again and again, but Frav did a totally awsome job with the materials! Without his help, this mod wouldn't became that good.
