Miscellaneous Parts Update! Yes fellows, it´s back. Today, I added Skoda Badges for the front and the rear, Fabia lettering for the trunk, and an chrome trim on some interior parts. I also added license plates and moddeled an european style tow hitch, which is actually working. I know, it´s just some miscellaneous stuff, but I think, it´s important as well Tomorrow, if the time is there, I will try, to add working gauges and fill some places up in the interior, because there are a lot of gaps. That´s it for today! An quick reminder, that this mod is not dead Schmitti
I'd recommend using a normal map of the badges baked to a flat plane for optimisation purposes, I can help you with that if you want.
After noticing, that my computer has some issues with baking textures, it might sound like an good idea. It would be enough, if you can tell me, if I can simple use pictures for it or if I have to bake everything first. (I lnow, how to create normal maps in GIMP, I think thats good enough.) But thanks for offering your help again
Yes! By the way, what do you think about it, if the Fabia has the option for a black roof too? I´m talking about the RS variant.
I said yesterday, that I plan, to make working gauges. Well, the only thing , I did not today on the mod were working gauges. So here comes the update: I did: - filled lots of gaps in the interior - fixed some models for the gauges - resized the car properly - added lettering - had a private conversation with DrunkDriver, where I asked him, if I could use the JBeam from one of his mods - DrunkDriver said yes (again, THANKS for that) - the rest of my free time, I migrated every single JBeam file to the fabia, by renaming everthing and change the flexbodys and and and... There is still a lot to do left with the JBeam. Statring, by adjusting the general shape of it, over bring the wheels in a correct position, to fix all of the remaining flexbody issues. Please, give me the time, to do this. I have one last week of school remaining, before holidays and I can´t even guarantee, that I get more time to work on it then. Maybe yes, maybe no. Idk. All in all, thats it for today. I did more, than I planned to do, which is okay, I guess. All the Best! Schmitti Not really Monte Carlo, but...
The lettering is needing remodeled, the reflections are completely screwed up. your best bet to fix that without making new models would be applying an edge split modifier to them in blender.
Little Update: - fixed (almost) all flexbody errors - fixed brakes start to fade and smoke after a while of still stand or when braking - fixed every single glowmap material, that was missing - added a "thing" in the interior (look at the pictures and at the gear, shifted) Tell me, if you like it! Errors, that were occuring: - not able to change steering wheel position - not able to change wheels position The JBeam is becoming better, I just need to to the whole major edit on the car body. Well, that´s it. The good news are, now are my holidays, so you might get a bit more progress on this thing. It´s in my opinion at a good state. Greetings, Schmitti
Auch Hesse, wa? oder Saarländer? oder Brandenburger? Looks absolutely amazing btw! Can't wait to finally try it out
Nice! Getting better and better! Also, I think you misspelled Passenger as Passanger, unless it’s not English
It´s fixed now. Thanks for noticing it --- Post updated --- By the way, I want to ask all of you: What do you think needs this mod to be able to release? (excerpt configs and JBeam) I still need to do: - gauge needles - skins But if there is anything, I might forgot, then please write it in here. I´m not talking about huge amounts of customisation (it still does have some engines and transmissions to choose from) This is my very first mod and I want to keeo it as simple as possible (I´m sorry, if I crush any dreams, but the vRS variant will only differ in terms of engine power, wheels, suspension ans skins, but not in modelled body parts) Well, I´d like, to hear your opinion on this topic.
How are the engines doing btw? Last time I saw an exterior pic of the car it had a white blob inside.
