Teaser time (the update is pretty close ) This is a very apparently and very big teaser. I really hope, you like it Have a nice time!!! Schmitti PS: These are 47 bumpers now!
That’s quite a few! Nice! Although I am partially questioning why isn’t there a bumper grill slot for every bumper, I don’t mind it being either way
Yes, you are right, but in my jbeam, there is no separate grille JBeam and it already caused me a lot of trouble, so I choosed this way. I think its acceptable. By the way, if I want to have a separate trim, does it count as a jbeam or a prop?
You can just have a flexbody that uses an already existing node group. So like, if it’s on the body, it uses the body’s node group.
Thanks! I plan to make a plastic, a chrome and a bodycolored trim. Maybe a special cladding for an Scout version aswell, if you like it. --- Post updated --- Teaser time!
I still need help with them (the rotation is screwed up), nothing has changed till your last post, but if you for example or anyone else knows, how to fix gauges, that would be incredibly helpful!!!
Not to rain on your parade, but mayyyyyybe you should fix the missing mirrors, or the drivetrain looking through the footwell, or the one-sided hood, roof etc (BeamNG needs double-sided models, your whole 3D model is unfit for the game), before adding 47 bumpers. Are they even jbeamed to fall off in a collision? Doesn't look like it from your last mesh screenshots.
The materials are double sided. They also are not mady by me. Frav, who made the materials, offered to tweak a few materials. I will message him, maybe he can fix it. To the roof, I added an interior roof, which looks way better. The hood is in progress. Then, it are now 49 bumpers and everyone is JBeamed, to fall of. Like every seperate part (hood, engine, doors, tailgate, fenders). I know, the damage isn´t good, but i will try, to fix the model, as good as I can. And on the mirrors, it´s only a flexbody issue, which I was to lazy, to fix for now (literally did it five minutes ago). I want to state again, that this is my very first mod, so dont expect a dev quality level. Also, you are free, to try, making a whole car mod on your own. It is a long and pretty hard way, if you are a rookie, like me. It´s good, that you wrote me, because everyone in this thread is free, to leave his opinion and feedback on my mod here. Have a nice day! Schmitti
Well, here is a very small update, I fixed up all remaining small issues, like some part weren´t showing up and added the missing mirrors. Tomorrow, I will drop the link, for Google drive in the conversation. With the feedback from the beta testers, I hopefully can improve the mod even more! Have a nice tme! Schmitti
Yes, I´m exited, what your feedback says! Another thing... I promised, to post some damage pics, so here they are, to show you, that this mod isn´t more, than terrible meshslap, with much effort, put into it. I will try, to reduce the whole polycount of the model, because it´s way to much. (Every help, with how to do that is appreciated.) Also, I want to show you a little experiment, I made today. I gave me 3 hours, to make a meshslap mod, with textures and edited JBeam and this is the result: It features: - working openables - working lights - edited JBeam - good quality materials (taken from some old mod, I found on my hard drive, idk which one) Bugs: - no engine mesh - no steering wheel - no custimisation - no doorglass - taillights and every glass is melted into the body, because of lazyness For some reason, the damage of this thing is better, than the damage from the fabia... Okay, at least a bit better... Anyways, if you want to drive this little, uncomplete Crossaint, then write it. If more, than 5 people want it, I will put it on my Kofi page, if I have one at some point. Have a good night/day! Schmitti Before anyone is asking, no, I wont put the textures from the Crossaint on the Fabia, because there are looking worse, than the actual fabia ones. Also @Frav offered, to tweak the materials a bit. I guess, after this, they will look better, than before!
