Yes, I´m very exited! The needles are now decently rotated, but they´re not rotatable on the x axis. Otherwise it looks already pretty good and is even somewhat accurate. --- Post updated --- I decided, to let the gauges be gauges and will now move on to the configurations. If anyone has further tips for the gauges, then you can write it, but for now, I´ll leave it like this.
Only a last question: Is there any way to sort the configurations? In the vehicle selector, everything is just a mix of everything. For example one "Active" version is on the top, another at the bottom of the list. What?!
Fantastic! It´s almost there! --- Post updated --- Okay, I´ll now take some cool pictures for the first page and then, I release it! Thank you for all, who helped me on this mod and who motivated me, to continue YOU`RE AWESOME!!!!! --- Post updated --- It´s here!!!!! You can download it on the first post now!!! --- Post updated --- Hello everyone! A few hours ago, I released my very first mod for BeamNG.drive, the second generation Skoda Fabia. I´m very happy, how it turned from a untextured mess of meshes to an actual drivable car with configs, customisation and much more. I learned a lot of modding stuff, while making this car and now, after looking at my work, I don´t regret any of the time, I put into it. Now, here comes my message for you: If you have any kind of feedback, of your experience with this mod or if you found some severe bugs, then let it me know. Otherwise I wouldn´t be able, to fix them. But here comes the important message for all of you: THANK YOU! Thank you for your help, your support, your motivation and even your excuses. All this gave me a highly positive image of the Beamng forum community, as a helpful, friendly and not too childish community. Well with a few excerpts... But nothing is perfect And now, check the Fabia out, if you want. Or, just leave it. It´s up to you. But of course, I would be happy, about some nice and constructive feedback Have a beautiful time! Greetings, Schmitti
Good job, Schmitti! For a first mod, this is very good - the deformation is realistic and has a lot of configs to choose from. I hope to see it improved and polished and with more features; such as OEM Skoda wheels and hubcaps, OEM colours, and more customisation. Keep up the good work!
HI! I downloaded the beta and I congratulate you on the work done, I've never made a mod but I can only imagine the effort behind it. The only thing I would like to point out is that the side mirrors don't work for me and the central internal mirror is completely missing.
First of all, thank you for the positive feedback! It´s a real pleasure, tosee, that you like my work To the oem parts. I tried several times, to add wheels, but I would need time, which I not really have at the moment. Paintcolours are more realistic to do, but I personally think, that the current colors are pretty good, but I will think about it. Also, I think, I wont add more customisation. The mod was a very fun project, and I think it´s good, in the way it is. So sorry, for this @DannyZGR15, but I won´t add oem wheels, hubcaps or more customisation (I simply don´t have the time for it). The model isn´t that optimised for BeamNG, so there are such issues. To the engine sounds. I´ll try, to fix it and will upload the version 1.1, when it´s fixed. Also, anyone, who want´s to review the mod on youtube for example, is completly free, to do so!
Might happen in the future, but currently the guy is struggling with just having correctly rotated gauges, so propably not that soon. Although now that I think about it…
Yes, you´re completly right. Also, I now not really have much time, to work on this. I might update it on the weekend.
Update 1.1 for the Fabia is here! - Metric Diesel Gauges where added - Chrome texture was polished a little (now mirrors looks better, but still not perfect) - fixed engine sound for some engines not existent - fixed some other misc stuff Hope, you like it Have a nice time! Schmitti
