Haha, same. '99 1.6 GLX over here. As of the latest update, the index levers are not properly labeled. Also, the font type is not basic arial, its more like "Urbano Extra Condensed". I know these are minor details, but for us its pretty noticable. If you need, I could help with pre-facelift specific fonts and glyphs.
I believe paid early access is on his patreon, though I’m not quite sure. However, once it is complete, it will be free.
I do know that it is not released yet, but since when it will be it won't be on the forums, does anybody know where it might be found.
I know it is not really a place for it, but I bet there are a lot of Octavia enthusiasts here. I am thinking of buying an Octavia in real life. It would be the third Skoda product I would own... Should I?
Circa, a monthly income. That includes the tax and insurance. Late 1990s and early 2000s cars are the cheapest things on the market at the moment. A new law is about to come into effect that charges you additional payment for driving into a city. I need to get rid of a diesel-powered Yaris.
I was more asking along the lines of what makes Octavia a superior choice over, all the Fiat's, Toyota's, Kia's, Hyundai's, Honda's, Seat's, VW's, Ford's, Opel's etc etc... For the same money, I can get a Focus, Astra II, Stilo, Seat Leon. I will look for a nice example. The last Skoda I had was a 1999 Felicia and it rusted away into oblivion. But the engine was unkillable. The first one a 120 from 1988 the wheel fell off and the carburetor never worked as intended. But the bodywork never gave me trouble. So my question is what is so great about the Octavia that someone would recommend buying one? For example, I am a big fan of Fiat Uno. I own one and it is my project car. It is as close to pristine as I can afford to make it. If you ask me what is so great about it, I would point to excellent driver visibility. Good ground clearance, as in you don't scrape the bumper if you drive over a speed bump too fast. It has great handling and is surprisingly spry for the tiny engine mine has. So what makes the Octavia special from all the other cars in its class and prize range?
So The Octavia owns the 1.9TDi By VAG Which you know is very reliable, It holds up 600-700k KM Which is alot since most other cars get up to 100-300k So this is why, But if you want a Skoda Felicia then I dont recommend it in anyway. The octavia Has alot of Quirks for 1999 Since it has A/C Which was a dream in most cars back then, Also the 1.9TDi has some good juice if you floor it, my Touran goes 9.2sec with a 2.0TDi with 140PS However the Octavia can have have 105PS-140PS Depending if its and SDI or TDI. I have also heard that the Skoda Octavia (USED) Has mostly not a lot of rust if it had good care. I recommend buying oe if you have a low budget, For now ive seen Octavias get sold from 1998-1999 for 400$(bad care and not so condition)-2500$(good care and outside condition) If you really want a Skoda Octavia then it depends if you put care into it.
