Sound Attenuation Cuts Off

    In almost all of the time that I've played BeamNG, it seems like the sound attenuation doesn't seem to work properly. Sounds get more faint with distance, as you'd expect, but at a certain distance the sound just cuts out/pops in abruptly, rather than growing more faint until going silent/gradually growing to full volume. Even with custom-placed sounds, I can't seem to tune them properly to alleviate this for the life of me.

    It's occurred to me that I haven't exactly been listening for this since the first release (Aug 2013), and I've never done a proper re-install since the Steam version came out, so I'm wondering whether it's a bug in my copy instead of an engine limitation. So, I guess the real question is, is anybody else hearing this?
