Agreed, i couldn't stand it either. it sounded like a power drill

 

This is because everyone was rushing the developers to push for a thanksgiving release.

Just leave them to fix their cock-up an hotfix will drop in a day or two, I just disable turbo from every vehicle I drive. The popping remains when there isn't even a flame from the exhaust, but that's more bearable than the annoying turbo whistle. It's only a small team of developers so fixes will take time to fix, especially when they're being fixed properly.

 

The popping without a flame is normal. It takes abit more to get fuel in the exhaust to create flames than it does to just get fuel in the exhaust. I got a bike IRL that pops all the time, but I don't think it's ever shot a flame out
