Status Heap Corruption - 0xC0000374

apologies for the bump but the devs should fix it

 

i just got this exact error and i cleared cache yesterday

 

i just tried usin vulkan and it did not launch

 

This happens when i try to exit the game. Spam x then it crashes.... happens every time

 

hi did any one help a fix my pc is powerful and is fine everywhere else on more demanding games did anyone get a fix

 

Getting this error on west coast highway right past the first carpools only sign with traffic. Never had the game crash before this. doubt the car has to do with it but it happened with 2 different very fast and upgraded ETK 800-Series cars

got this error "BeamNG 0.37.6.0 0xC0000374 STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION" context For crash i was using a Scintilla GTs (DCT) and my Front leFt corner hit a slope then it crashed

 

Keeps happening to me along with
0x00000001

 

ive been going back and forth with support last week, trying to give them as much information as possible on this issue.

i was able to reproduce this issue on two different pc, with entirely different mod lists
i was able to make beamng crash with 4 mods installed!!! 4!!!!
those same mods works fine when i try beamng in linux, its only a windows problem so far. (with the exception of RLS career italy 1.4 mod which crashes beamng on both linux and windows)

yet support will throw away and ignore everything to tell me

"sorry we cant troubleshoot mods, clear cache and remove mods"

THIS WHOLE GAMES ECOSYSTEM REVOLVING AROUND USER CREATED CONTENT, AND SUPPORT CANT EVEN TAKE BUG REPORTS SERIOUSLY?!?!
sorry to break it to you guys, but if beamng crashes with merely 4 mods installed, SOMETHING IS GOING CRITICALLY WRONG FOR BEAMNG TO THROW A C++ ERROR WHEN HANDLING DAE FILES!!!!

oh but sure, keep blaming "corrupt mods" when those same mods will work in linux.


i reformatted my windows installation twice in the last week to make sure it wasnt my pc that was the problem, i am able to confirm my pc works perfectly fine with any other game, in any scenario. hell, ive been stress testing my pc all week, and the only time something crashes, is when i start including mods in beamng.
i re-downloaded every mod to make sure it wasnt corrupt.
i tried everything in my power to have as much information as possible to help debug this problem
theres no way to verify the integrity of mods files, no MD5 nothing. (as if that truly matters here)

BUT SUPPORT WILL NOT TAKE THIS ISSUE SERIOUSLY!!!



so to everyone in this thread, this is a definite answer to all your problems!!!

DELETE ALL YOUR MODS AND GO POUND SAND!!!!
and if nothing else works? "did you try clearing cache" as if thats the definite fix for every problem.
and dont forget to fully reinstall your whole os!!! (that wont fix anything unless you switch to linux, i promise so far its worth the hassle in my opinion, to hell with windows)


this is genuinely infuriating, because support literally IGNORED every issue in my emails.

vulkan cant even launch in safe mode in windows ffs, and support blatantly ignored that, just to blame mods, which has nothing to do with why vulkan crashes in safe mode. because it will do the same without any mods installed.
support cant even do the bare minimum, doing support.

im so infuriated, ai tools can do a more competent job than whatever "support" is doing currently. what is their goals? to make beamng fail? to ignore problems? to copy paste "did you try clearing cache" at every issue as if thats the fix to life itself?!?!


this "status heap corruption" crash has been plaguing me FOR MONTHS!! literally driving me INSANE trying to find this issue, only to switch to linux and have a flawless experience?...

keep blaming mods, yeah right. because a dae model and some textures totally affects beamngs core c++ code huh? istg im holding back but im sure yall can read my frustration.

ive never been more disappointed in my life, i thought beamng actually had some form of competent support? but this is a sick joke, taking the piss out of the entire community.

theres zero methods of debugging further, just remove mods and go pound sand. GG what a great support.


if an actual dev reads this, hit me up, ill provide any information your heart could ever desire to fix this issue, HELP ME HELP YOU GUYS!!! ive been a fanatic beamng fan since the very beginning, i only want whats best for this game.
im not a pc noob ffs, i literally have QUINTUPLE BOOT setup on my main desktop, ive been testing the ever living SHIT out of beamng for the past MONTHS on almost any OS imaginable. only windows causing me these crashes.
im actually competent with PC's lmao. i could provide any bits of information youd ever want. if someone is ready to take this issue seriously that is.
