I dont understand how i get the steam key...i have bought this game...but if i follow the instructions it leads me nowhere.
The audio seems to switch from the left and right channels in the interior view. Is this a known issue? EDIT: Fixed the issue by changing the audio provider from OpenAL to DirectSound.
If I connect a Steam account to BeamNG to get the key, I can use it on another account (not both), right?
My pc is just fine with everything on high and with postFX enabled the game still runs 60 - 100 fps depending on which map I use.
Tdev, I don't plan on using Steam, so will I continue to receive updates for the standalone version using the updater? Or is the standalone decommissioned?
I actually saw this happen after a re-download last week so I honestly can't blame steam. This is weird. The drop is solid and constant regardless of the map or vehicle or FX settings. Drivers all up to date. Now getting 12-15FPS on plain ole' Gridmap. Will have to check CPU performance after work.
For me, the game doesn't seem to apply changes in the PostFX settings in the Steam version.. Everything else is working good!
My game doesn't appear on Steam library, and I followed the simple instructions. Tried restarting Steam, but it doesn't help.
I had no issues at all going to Steam. I just downloaded it then copied over my vehicles, maps, and scripts. (Settings and inputmaps.) Then uninstalled the non-Steam version.
So if it replaces the launcher and updater and only runs the game on Steam, then how will I mod or update the game? I know this is probably a stupid question but I'm confused. Can you still mod it through steam?
Mod the game just like you normally would, but in where Steam installs it. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common by default) If you broke a vanilla file and wish to force update, right click on the game in the steam client, then: Properties-Local Files-Validate game cache. Steam will automatically download any changes to the public build (but not detect and fix any changes you've made, have to validate game cache for it to do that) as soon as it can get a connection to the Internet, unless you've disabled automatic updates from the Properties window, or changed the things in the client's Settings menu in order to make it more peaktime/datacap friendly.
Thanks. That really helps. I basically know nothing about Steam so I was really confused. But I'll see if I can get this to work
I was also septic about using steam for Arma3 last year, but since then i started to love it. I actually wish i could install ALL my windows through Steam, as i do not have to bother anymore to keep anything updated. Like on my Linux boxes, all software up-to-date at any time and only downloading incremental updates. Something the Windows platform has been lacking since the start So for those not yet having steam, give it a go, and see for yourself !
