With a little experimentation, I've found it does seem to be possible to fake coupling rods using a combination of rotators and differentials. It's a bit 'soft', though, with the coupling rod bouncing around the area of its intended hinge; not a perfect lock.
I don't know if it will work, but maybe if you add beam between connecting rod node and wheel node, it will attach the node to all wheel nodes.
Will we be able to de couple/ re couple cars whenever we want, or once they come off there's no getting them back?
Are you going to put a working piston rod on the locomotive? (While in its WIP,Or while it's in Alpha,Beta,WIP beta Release,Release,etc?
