(Ok, I decided to continue your's first, I leave my story for a later time)
Harry Harvin, then an employee of IBM. He originally bought it to keep it for a long time, but suddenly, the IBM PC launched in 1981 (yes, it's true), and suddenly he got a massive bonus for it due to the massive success of the machine. He later bought a Porsche to celebrate the occasion, then sold the car to an Italian...

...immigrant, Paolo Masrani, working for the mob. He wanted some kind of a decent performance car that would work as a daily, and the Datsun fullfilled that requirement.

However, by 1984, Mr. Masrani became a made man. As he could afford a better car, the Japanese coupe, with Harvin-added extra rustproofing, got sold to...

NEW STORY: 1987 Peugeot 205 GTi

Sadly, in 1990, he found out the existence of the Toyota Celica, and he promptly bought one after a test drive. He sold the Peugeot to a German...

(It would make abso-goddamn-lutely zero sense to import an used Volvo to the States, as there would be thousands for sale there).

Derek Steele, an ex-navy. Sadly, he only owned it for a year, before a crash killed his life, and the car was later scrapped.

    NEW STORY: Aaron Kyle
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Aaron is the only son of a poor factory worker. In 1947, when he is 20, he got a beaten-up 1940 Ford Coupe as his first car. He drove the car to his factory often for work.

...1940 LaSalle Series 52 sedan. Despite the relatively low price, he still had slight trouble affording it.

Fortunately, a year later, he got a raise. In 1951, he got engaged to Aggie Millbrough, and in 1952, they got married.

In early 1954, with a baby on the way, the couple decided to get a newer car, as the LaSalle started being increasingly worn. They thought about downsizing a bit, and finally traded it in for a...

In 1960, Frank Milbrook, a native of Culver City, sold his mildly customized 1950 Chevrolet, and bought something a little bit stranger. A 1960 Prince Skyway station wagon. The color was all mint green, almost perfectly matching his custom body shop's logo. Frank was one of those old school guys, who grew up in the Depression, and who hated the "throw away" consumerist culture of the 1950s, so customizing and hot rodding was perfect for him. (Re-using older parts to make something new.) He owned his body shop since 1946. Frank went through many cars in his day, including a 1928 Model A Roadster, with a hopped up 1933 Ford 4 cylinder, (fracturing his shin and breaking his foot in a bad accident in 1948, collision with a telephone pole.) A customized "bomber" 1936 Ford 2 Door Sedan, a 1932 Ford 2 Window coupe, and even a 1934 Pierce Arrow Silver Arrow V12. All of these he sold, only keeping the '36 Ford, making modifications even up to 1960. He also owned many more than just these 4, but only keeping the '36. Anyway, back to the Prince. Fuji Precision Machinery delivered about 300 to California in 1960, all Skyline Models. He ended up buying it straight from Japan, and he had it imported directly to Long Island. Special ordered with MPH and MPG dials, and left hand drive, it was imported around the same time that those 300 were delivered. Frank used the Prince, genuinely used it. It was a shop truck, he hauled bumpers from So-Cal plating and seats from upholstery shops. It got dented and beat up over time, and even Frank was surprised by how much power the little 4 cylinder punched. When he finally retired it, it was because of a blown head gasket. The car was rare, even in Japan, and the parts were downright impossible to find in the U.S.. Frank, even with many of his connects in the car community, couldn't find the parts. He even talked to some of his old Navy buddies in Okinawa, but they came up dry. The year was 1968 when the head gasket blew, ironically, it was about a month after Prince merged with Nissan, so no more of these already rare parts would be manufactured, likely never again. So, Frank eventually...

...Austin A55 Cambridge sedan. It wasn't much, but was one of the few cars that the income of a brewery worker could pay for.

Still, Mr. Kyle found it a bit slow and small, and for US standards, it was too cramped for a family of 4 (Aaron, Aggie, Jonathan and the youngest child, Agatha, born in 1960).

In 1962, when it was all paid off and in the family for some time, the Austin was sold. Mr. Kyle looked at the compact market for a while, but finally bought an used...

...buy a 1982 Honda Accord sedan. It was another reliable car that would spend a lot of time on his hands, and with the kids out of the house, he didn't need a wagon anymore.

The Honda stayed with him after his 1990 retirement, and was kept on the road until 2001, when structural element corrosion made Mr. Kyle want to replace it. It was traded in for another reliable, relatively cheap new car - a...
