Not sure what may be wrong, but when using the Extra Long Upfit frame with the Airbag Tridem rear suspension, the lockable differentials do not work. The controls do not show up, nor do the axles work as if they are locked, only operating as a open diff.
Excuse me, Where did you get this Hood's mod? --- Post updated --- The differentials bugs had been found since 0.33. Rear Differentials button are invisible,Probably because the "Rear Differentials" button are there(Not on 0.32 or earlier). When lock all differentials by combo keys , You will see these two Opposite notifications. *Example*: "Rear Differentials: Locked" "Rear Differential Mode: Open" and these two: "Interaxle Differentials: Locked" "Center Differential Mode: Open" I not sure is this a bug that caused by mods or games itself
So, I just need to bind the diff's to a button, and a message should appear when I press that button, engaging or disengaging the diff's? And the hood is from DFA's RRPP pack.
Yep.Just bind the hotkey and all diff lock/open at once. ---------------------------------- Well, this diff looks weird, maybe it caused by "Differential Lock Switch" ?? Can anyone answer this problem?? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Reply to BUHGANG: Thank You. 3
So upon further investigation, the airbag tridem axle has some issues with diff locks . Diff's wont lock even with the right keybinds. But if you add a lift axle in front of the tridem suspension, then the diffs can lock. Maybe something was forgotten when creating the tridem suspension axle?
That's as far as I can go,and I don't have any solution to deal with it. Maybe you can install a mod named "us_semi_addon_by_Loser2817",it has some Locking-Limited-Slip-Differentials that it can control by button. This mod is right here(on Page 36). --- Post updated --- EFC,Can you add "Inverted Active Steering" on "Rear Rear Lift Axle" to next update? Thank you.
This mention makes me feel weird. That whole thing was just an unrealistic proof-of-concept I wasn't planning to upload back then. Oh well, that file is outdated now. I've been adding plenty of basic stuff to the proyect ever since, but for now I'll keep it private, or at least until I'm confident that I can upload it without a forum moderator chewing me out for the mod being "badly packed" or something (I'm still sore over that one instance).
I finally get the time to report a minor bug: the T60 Radiator's intercooler part is named "intercooler" instead of "Intercooler". #LiterallyUnplayable
i'm not sure if i'm just doing something wrong or if my game is bugged, but it feels like the manual transmissions from this mod are a bit oversensitive when shifting on controller? even after turning the gameplay assists on while also shifting very slowly and deliberately, the synchros grind by 1% on nearly every shift. it's not something i experience with the vanilla manual transmissions (even without assists) either, so i'm a little perplexed
i found that waiting like half a second before shifting and after clutching gets rid of that 1%. IRL, big trucks are usually floated rather than clutched, which doesn't work well on synchroed manuals. and beamng is all synchro regardless which might be why certain mods are a bit funky
well and i kinda assumed it was like that so i did try to do that for a while before posting, but it didn't seem to help - if i wait half a second, it grinds, 1 second it grinds, 2 seconds etc. and no amount of rev matching helps either i could maybe try it on my H shifter sim rig to see if that's any better though edit: yeah this is like, perfect on H shifter - i think the problem is that controller tries to shift gears as quickly as possible when you press A, while H shifter lets you sit in neutral before shifting, so controller experiences the issue while H shifter does not
IIRC what I once read a few years ago, especially old vehicles did not have synchromesh, especially on the first gear. If the devs implemented that on the Nine, it might have glitched out and applied that behaviour to ALL manual gearboxes. At least that's my theory, IDK about the technicalities of this update.
same thing for the paddle shifters, basically just glorified ctrl'r. forgot to mention you could hold down the shift button to kinda do the neutral thing, but shifter works better anyway
oh! well i sure feel silly LOL been playing this 10 years and had no idea you could hold it down for that until now it is a little clunky for controller but that's totally livable, tysm haha
i think that was also a new feature, back when our favorite, superior tranny type was reworked (aka, the manual)
