Mkay, I'm creating this new map. I have one major problem I can't find way to fix it. Terrain (actually one tile of it) disappears in some places. How to fix?
Are you using ECA as base? You probably still have 'Occluders' in there (Those would not render anything behind them) Remove them from the editor. If you cannot see them in the map itself, click the 'Visibility Layer' button, and then tick these:
Yes, I'm using ECA as base. I don't see any Occluders, also ticked those https://i.gyazo.com/6debc6cb71689e5c3b248e8c354a689c.mp4 Still don't see Occluders? Thanks for really quick answer Edit: I did reload the map, and so far ground doesn't disappear any more.
I ended up starting from scratch after I encountered issues with the map. If it happens again, I'll let you know. (It is my first time making a map.)
The way this game does it's vis-ing (visibility checking) to see what's visible or not can affect a map while it's being created, for example, if you raise a large section of map, and then starting working on it some more (or raise a road over an otherwise flat area), chunks close to the base of the camera area could disappear because vis (visibility) tells it that chunk you raised is below and now out-of-sight of the camera - even though it's not now. This should fix itself next time you open the game, especially on a new game version updates, i've seen a lot of that while building up grade in valley areas or on mountainsides like in So-Cal Interstate where I had to do a lot of grading to get the highway in and out of mountain-ranges realistically. This isn't a problem with the game, this is just map-run-time optimization, that turns out to be non-optimal because you've changed it. Restarting the beamng program should help this.
