Hi, sorry for all these threads but I'm having more issues with textures. I'm trying to make a rhd hopper. I've flipped the dash in the jbeam file, but now I can't work out how to get the textures to show. Any help would be appreciated as usual. --- Post updated --- its somehow fine now and I'm not sure why --- Post updated --- the dashboard now spins constantly on top of the vehicle.
Peculiar. I have a similar issue with my van. However I have got the object to move. I did it by changing the “Position: x, y, z” values in the jbeam. However that will take a while to get right with the dash. I think there is another way. Before you export from Blender press crtl a and apply location rotation and scale then export with modifiers applied (Quote: Keys). Although I can’t stop it moving :/
hmm I'll try that later and get back to you, moving the dash in the jbeam makes the textures disappear though.
I believe the spinning is because it doesn't have some stuff applied in blender. Can't remember the name but it's accessed through CTRL+A in object mode. Apply all the options and it shouldn't spin around anymore. EDIT: Ninja'd...
Yeah that’s why I was talking about. I haven’t tried it myself though. I probably should though, it might fix my problem
I've had the problem before with stuff spinning around and it does fix it. Not sure if this is the same problem as this, though.
God you can never win can you. How did you fix textures the first time? Try doing that again and applying ctrl a location rotation and scale. If that doesn’t work, I’ve got another idea, but I’m out at the moment and probably won’t be back till 7 to show you what I mean as I can’t describe it EDIT: Have you applied edge split? Cause it doesn’t look like it in your blender screenshot
I removed the code from the jbeam file that flipped the dashboard and the textures went back to normal last time, but this time I really don't know as its already gone. Heres what I removed last time btw: {"scale":{"x":1,"y":1,"z":1}}],
It's complicated. I cut the mesh in half. For each half I mirrored it. I apply the modifier. Then delete the other non-used half and then join the two meshes. I hope that's understandable
At a glance, I'd say the normals are inverted. Enter edit mode with the dash selected, press A as many times as it takes to select all of the verts/edges/faces, and hit CTRL+N.
My long-waited and probably bad idea is to press this and select "hopper_interior". Sometimes you just need to remind blender what the texture is meant to be
