Thanks 6677, but Narwhal2 is already working on this idea.

There are a million buggy mods, no reason why there can't be 2 of us attempting an off road covet either, the work above I did several weeks ago, nor was I proposing to actually attempt what narwhal is doing myself I was simply demonstrating that the geometry on the existing covet is wrong.

I'm loving the look of what narwhal is doing, but if I was to attempt it myself I would be doing things slightly differently.

CrossCovet is a good name :D BTW Please don't raise the suspension; I like what I saw in the pics. If you need to raise it, I would recommend an increase of 2-4 cm. Sorry, edited when you posted the response and had to c&p the original post from your quote. Lol

If you actually change the mesh some and give it some roof racks or something and give it some thicker tires I.e. 60 height then id name it the original name. Ibisbu Tracker.. Or maybe Ibishu Crosser?

Give it thicker tires roof racks a tire on the back and some different rims that you would find on a 90s crossover

Don't bother making new wheels; just make a roof rack and spare tire.
Maybe this car will beat Hirochi in the Dry Rock Rally!

On of the debug views shows node names, there are 2 hub nodes for the wheels which you need to find in the JBeam and change the coordinates for. That is per wheel btw, including alternate part wheels.

Decided to see what happens if I move the wheels 10cm lower than normal on an otherwise stock covet:
    screenshot_00005.png

Its pretty fun, even if the wheels aren't centred (stock mesh to be fair, just move the wheels down 10cm in blender to fix). Throw the turbo and limited slip diff on there and it becomes rather easy to roll :p

I attached the JBeam I used. Oh, turns out I dropped the front tyre pressure too
