For me I see it like this, if the game has a massive issue, the devs are ALREADY trying to fix it and get a hotfix out asap but it takes time to fix the issue, so sole tolerance is needed for a delay before the fix is posted!
We found one big issue: Due to a bug, parts that are inside a vehicle folder that fit into a slot that is in common will not be visible. Took me some hours only for that one. Now on to the next bug. Hotfix hopefully very soon
True, but I still find it surprising that the Industrial map didn't get any dynamic lighting like Utah and Small Island did. I'd imagine it won't be that hard to do, and remastering seems to be an ideal occasion for it to be added.
Well, if you're already spending time and effort on remastering a level, why not take a bit more of both to greatly improve the nighttime gameplay? If that means delaying the update for a few weeks, so be it.
I mean, improving the nightime gameplay would be excellent. Do you think the devs should do anything with the daytime gameplay?
Not anytime soon, at least — daytime gameplay is one of the game's strongest points at the moment, so IMO the devs should have other priorities (further vehicle/map remasters, backend optimisation etc)
I’m not really sure. The devs seem to be working on something that can address the missing parts problem, but idk if it concerns tyres. The 0.20 reporting thread claims it is not a bug, though. https://www.beamng.com/threads/0-20-discussion-thread-use-safe-mode-before-reporting.72482/ Missing tires Not a bug, wheels naming got update and fixed in many cases due wrong sizing being specified. Mods and configuration that are trying to reference the old tires names could spawn with those parts missing. Simply re-select the missing parts and re-save your custom configurations. Mods have to be updated their their respective authors.
First off: love the devs working hard on hotfixes. If you're mad at devs, I'm going to say this quite bluntly: you're a clown. Secondly, I feel like most of the community's anger about this update isn't about the content itself, but what it brought to the table in comparison to what it broke. Right now, people all over are trying to find out which mods are breaking others, having their games crash while loading vehicles in that were fine in 0.19, having amazing mods have that fatal error that says the car couldn't be loaded in, try in safe mode, yet it appears right in front of them, etc etc. But the thing is: none of these problems are because of the main game. They are mods. The problem is that people think that its the devs responsibility to fix these problems. With the 0.20 controversy, as a community, its very foolish of us to take our anger out on the devs. For example, I've seen people say: "We got an ugly roamer, an update to some maps, and some other minuscule changes, just to have the same update break a bunch of mods" This behavior is disturbingly common, and is honestly disgusting how disrespectful this is to the devs, but you can't help but understand why this is happening. For now, honestly I feel as a community, we need to just chill out, warn others about broken mods, and try to enjoy 0.20 as much as we can. (and also thank you devs for working on hotfixes I need to play this game without it crashing lol)
Oh, I see. Thanks for the information, man. Oh yeah, and not to mention that there's the West Coast USA and D-series Prerunner or whatever that will come soon. The devs have honestly done a wonderful job with this game. I honestly feel like this game is getting more realistic. I mean, as for the mods that got broke. Hopefully, the creators will be like "Oh, this update broke my mod. Time to fix it."
