    I am rebuilding my asus essentio computer with an phenom ii x4 830 cpu and a Radeon 6670 2gb ddr3. Since I'm gonna overclock my cpu, I need a good cpu cooler. But I want a cpu cooler that will mount on amds brackets for their stock coolers. I do not want to go through trying to put on a back plate or Any of that. So which cpu cooler is best for am3+ mounting bracket?

    I use a 212 Evo which fits pretty much every recent socket including AM3+.

    That's how I pull these temps at 18c ambient :D

    Ones that work without a backplate are pretty rare. Good luck. :|

    Why dot you want a backplate? If it is because you don't want to take your mobo out of the case then you should take it out anyway. Makes instal safer and more stable, and also keeps the cooler on tighter.
    Anyways;

    My room was closer to 15c at 7am. You're looking at the minimum temp readout.

    I was referring to the realtime temp. Sorry for the ambiguity.

    edit: You can also search for the weather in Sydney to get a guesstimation of the air temperature+humidity. Would be warmer and possibly more humid indoors though.
