I went from 35fps to 70-78 fps (standing still) with the flat bed it do drop a bit when driving. More testing is needed.
Glad to hear the improvements made a 100-110% difference in performance Looking forward to seeing how much further you can optimise it
Wow, I didn't expect that big of an impressive. I guess removing stresses helped even more than I expected. Glad I was able to help out, looks like I will be changing my review as soon as the new version comes out.
I am definitely looking forward to a vastly more optimized version of this mod to come out in the next couple years (knowing the development time going into it could be that long lol) but really its gonna be a worthy addition to the Devs arsenal of test vehicles for its ability to bring the game to its knees
Truck trailer confirmed! Because if it becomes possible, then it might be hard to resist pushing even further
its lagging on a high end 4k gaming pc haha xD pls calm it down but only lagging when i spawned 6 cars and the most detailed version then i have like 30 FPS?
Because your "4k gaming pc" is only made to handle GPU-heavy games on 4k with ease, while BeamNG is a very CPU heavy game, thus why it's dragging the framerate down
like i said i have a I7 8700K with 4.7 GHZ --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- sometimes the cpu is at 4.3 GHZ or in game at 4.7 ghz but i have 6 cores and 12 threads not like the 7920x from intel with 16 cores and 36 threads..btw i build my pc myself
You can have 100 cores, it make no difference, the game only use 1 core for every car/truck (1 car = 1 core 2 cars = 2 cores and so on)
sometimes the cpu is at 4.3 GHZ or in game at 4.7 ghz but i have 6 cores and 12 threads not like the 7920x from intel with 16 cores and 36 threads..btw i build my pc myself uff but why do u can spawn so much cars then? ^^
1 vehicle cannot be shared to be processed by many threads, but you can have more than 1 vehicle on 1 thread. So you can't have 1 vehicle running on 2 or more cores, if you have only 1 vehicle, it runs on 1 thread only (in physics wise, graphics are also bit limited on how many cores they can use, all vehicles tend to use stuff that runs on 1 thread only in addition to physics), 2 vehicles can run on 2 or 1 thread, this was new thing some time ago, vehicles can now gather together on single thread if there is capacity and if there is need, but one vehicle still can't be spread over more than 1 thread. So you can gain fps if you overclock your CPU more, however because of physics being AVX workload, your clock speed runs at AVX multiplier instead of normal multiplier and that can slow down your CPU. Also AVX tend to push CPU quite hard so you might not have possibility to run very high clock speeds when using AVX workloads. My mb bios is bit crappy so while I used to run avx at same speed as normal multiplier just fine, from some insane reason now bios is dropping avx multiplier even I have set it same as before, no any logic, nothing is running hot either, but -300Mhz is applied if I overclock CPU, which kind of sucks. Need to wait new bios version, maybe they have fixed these annoyances.
Just discovered this while screwing around with configs, if I remove the second front axle, the rear wheels will spin on one or both rear axles. Edit: If I lock the transfer case, it will move on it's own at 20ish mph.
Well there go my dreams of a mungo 4x4. It's alright, I find the bug funny, last funbug I saw was a gm 4x4 mod, if you hit the parking break, the whole car would barrel roll across the map. Back on topic though, I'm not too worried if it doesn't get fixed, 8x8 is in the name after all.
I have now uploaded the updated mod to the mod section (awaiting approval) This is what I have done: - Fixed a lot of stresses in the J-beam, for the airfilters, exhaust, exhaust holders, the cargo floor, the cargo walls, the cab and all its parts. - Fixed the RPMs for all the engines +lowered the power a bit (max rpms are now 3200) - Fixed the locked diffs being to weak. - Corrected some misspellings in the part selector. - Made the front cab plate into a part you can remove in the part selector. - Added a big weight to the rear for better balance when offroading (Find it under cargo upfits) - Made some more variants that should be easier to run (Better fps) - Added the seats back into the stripped versions (for the driver camera to work)
