Uugghh... paying for mods is greed before passion. A donation, fine, but paying for something that used to be FREE, hell nah.
bro its not free, it isnt asking chatgpt 4 something and selling it, he had to work for that, please do not complain abt the fact that is paid
I’ll speak my mind whether people like it or not, but let me explain it properly. I’m not against paying for work. If someone commissions a mod or asks for something specific, then yes, charging is completely fair. That is a service being delivered. What I am talking about is the shift in modding culture. Mods used to come from passion first. People created and shared because they wanted to improve the game and be part of something. If others appreciated it, they could donate. That showed respect for the work without turning everything into a transaction. But when mods like The CrashHard Dummy 2.0 are locked behind a paywall from the start, it changes the spirit. It stops being about creating and sharing, and becomes pay first then you can have it. That is where it starts to feel like greed comes before passion. I respect the effort, no doubt. Modding takes time, skill, and patience. But respect goes both ways. Let people choose to support you. Do not force it upfront. Passion builds communities. Paywalls divide them. And judging by the replies, that divide is already showing.
I think thats good, but if you want to make a shift again to free mods you could do it, i think, my airbag mod will be a 100% free, there is a ton o f good free mods out there, the game isnt the same as 7 years ago when i first heard of it, theres thousands of free good mods, you only have to search, i think the worlds is always changing, imagine in the next 7 years, i agree that is annoying to see that a great mod its paid, but is your choice to support it or not
does this affect my performance? like the mod itself? i used to have a old pc, i still have the paranoia of having my fps decreasing significantly because of mods
