I always wanted one with a 5.0... but instead I got the 2.3L cause that's what I could afford. Tough little engine, but man is it ever lacking in the power department...
Well... articles around the internet will tell you 88 to 110hp across the years never really pinning down an actual number... but my car was heavily neglected before I ever owned it, so I am willing to bet it doesn't even do 88 at the best of times.
True... I mean... the engine was waaaayyy overbuilt so boost was always an option as long as you switched the Conrods and Pistons... The crank and block on these engines have been known to take upwards of 1000hp (not kidding) and keep on trucking like it was nothing... the crank and block actually have the ability to take more power than the 5.0 crank and block without modification.
The fastest I've ever gone is 140 mph in a modified 2002 corvette Z06 on I-95 in Richmond Virginia --- Post updated --- Yeah, 5.0 blocks then to detonate at 500 hp
2008 Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JTDm- 210hp, 400Nm The speedo read 220km/h (~135mph) when I let out of it. The car had more in it, and it was on a level road. Let out of it because that speed on a back road during the night is sketchy. Haven't done it since, too. Pic related, it's my actual car.
I'll cheat a bit : (This is the actual vehicle ^^) 1: Robin DR400-180 2: 180Hp 3: Level flight @ 2500m 4: 250 Km/h
My dad drive a st165 at 210kmh and get caught by a lotus calthon This is not the real car, I just found it from the internet
