THE GREAT PURGE Are .cs / .dts OLD,legacy mods permanently DEAD in v0.40+?⚰️

Hi community,
I am currently playing on **v0.38**, where many classic old mods (with `.cs` materials and `.dts` models) still work fine.
However, I'm completely out of the loop regarding the latest versions like **v0.40**. I heard that the game engine underwent major changes and that support for these old Torque3D legacy files might have been dropped.
To be honest, the current situation is completely unknown to me, and I want to know what happened to them.
* **Are those old .cs and .dts mods completely broken and unplayable in v0.40 now?**
* **Does the game still throw errors, or does it completely ignore/delete their existence?**
* **Is there any known way to make them work, or are they gone for good?**

**My Situation: Ultra-Ancient "Fossil" Mods are... STILL ALIVE in v0.38?!**
To give you some context, I am playing on a low-spec PC. Because of this, I still heavily rely on ultra-ancient mods from around **2013 to 2017**.(0.3~0.9) They are extremely lightweight and run smoothly on my machine.
And here is the crazy part for me: **In my v0.38 environment, almost ALL of these ancient 10-year-old mods are actually STILL SURVIVING and working pretty well!**
But I’m terrified of what the future holds if I update to v0.40. How is this possible if v0.40 is supposed to be "The Great Purge"? What happens to these fossil mods in your newer versions? Do they actually break into pieces, or are some of them secretly immortal even after 10 years?
