I think that'd be possible if you were to just take a mod of the normal 1969 Challenger and give it a skin that's similar to the one of The Junker.
The engine sounds could definitely use some pitch tweaking on the mid range, but GOD this thing is cool
Finally! will you do more cars like this? or standard cars from the game Crossout? (post apocalyptic cars)
Love to try this bad boy. I feel kinda bad for all the people since 2019 that have abandoned their accounts to this point in time to see it released
Nope, it is just a scrapped '69 charger, the only difference with its real-life counterpart are the taillights I did my best taking and sampling the original sounds to map them into BeamNG's engine sound system, it def could be tweaked but im not a sound guy, i'll try to tweak them a little for a next update There are lot of chances, I already have some ideas, but adult life turned surprisingly hard latelly, so if I ever do any other vehicle mod it will probably have some kind of funding, cos remaking a vehicle from zero, with all parts, details and textures, and also Jbeaming from zero, is a time-eater task, and sadly I cannot afford spending all that time for free... (the funding would be at least during dev, maybe free release after finish, idk, just thinking out loud) In my mind there are some ideas for mods: vehicles from RocketLeague (including the ball and mechanics like jumping, fliping...) vehicles from Carmageddon I, II and TDR2000 (would do all Eagles first) my favorite vehicles from GTA (III, VC and SA only)
The midrange (sorta between 2000 rpm and 3500 rpm) just needs to be pitched down a bit to transition better into the top end imo, the rest sounds great
After a few drive and screwing around, Ive come with two things; 1. The steering linkage is too fragile for vanilla tires, it literally broke by just turning it left or right a couple times. 2. (Just my nitpick) The steering wheel location is awfully too low and too short (Driver for measurement) Anyway, I would love to see the rear tires or rim available for every cars and also for the front suspension, and same goes for the front wheels
So I don't know if anyone has noted this yet, but with the General Lee config, that should still have the push-bar attached to it as the General Lee was known for having a push-bar on the front end! Other than that, I'm very excited to drive this around!
Loving the mod, however i have found a texture bug with the Larry config, The interior shows No Texture.
5872 hrs. in Half Life and now I get to finally take that baby for a real drive. Awesome!!! Now we need the "Cost map" in BeamNg for the full emersion. Thanks so much for this mod. I have actually real wanted this. Love the air filter shake.
1. yep i'm aware of the steering fragility, i tried a lot of approaches but seems like it's pretty hard to make it stable while having enough steering angle and then having it all working along with suspension due the jbeam overall shape around it... this is something i want to rework almost entirely when i find some time 2. about the stwheel location i'll move it a little fixed in next update yup, fixed in the next update, I just forgot to add that texture file in the zip xd
I kid you not right after I saw this mod, when I went to bed the same night I had a dream that I downloaded it and it had a roof doors and a police config
