The mod folder doesn't open when I click open mod folder in game.

    I am using the steam version of Beamng Drive and it runs nice. But I want to get the mod that I had been using before I switched accounts on my laptop. I did that to avoid getting a virus on the administrator account and I now have two accounts on my laptop. The administrator and my gaming account. The only problem is that I want to use the oldsfullsize mod that adds the Chevrolet Caprice and the Oldsmobile. But I can't get it to work and I have it in the same place as shown in the how to install mods wiki for Beamng Drive and they are still not working. Anyone know what I can do to fix it and get them back.

    And I'm using the most recent version of Beamng Drive.

    This gaming account has limited permission / restricted access?
    Full path of your mods folder, and a screenshot of the inside of that folder? (So we can see how you installed the mods)

    The game is still trying to use this folder:
    C:/Users/Gaetan W-Admin/Documents/BeamNG.drive/mods/
    Probably because you moved the game from your other account or something.

    Go to the game installation folder, open the startup.ini file with notepad and insert this as path:
    C:/Users/Gaetan W-Gaming/Documents/BeamNG.drive/mods/
    ( https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_change_the_.27mods.27_folder_location.3F )

    Note that if you also have to move your mods to the correct folder (from the Admin account to the Gaming one)

    now my beamng drive folder is not in my documents

    I just had to restart my laptop. The problem is solved.

    I just realized why it was reading the administrator account. It's because I run steam as administrator so I can play black squad. Otherwise it doesn't work. It makes sense now.
