    why doesnt the moon go around the map like the sun ingame?

    The moon seems to be static.

    The sun is movable because the position of the sun in the sky can change the position of the shadows and can change the brightness of the earth, but the moon is just a texture and its reflected lights are everywhere in the night, so the devs didn't make it a movable thing
