Did a little drifting. Drive isn't exactly the best game to drift in, but it came out decent enough. I think I'll try and record some drifting in LFS later. Maybe some more Forza drifting too.
It's a city map I'm working on. This is the first time I've shown it here, but I'll make a thread for it when it's closer to finished (probably next week).
I just started drifting with the stock cars and I've gotten pretty okay at it so I want to make a custom car to maybe make it easier, what car should I use and what should I do to it?
Please don't bump threads so old. Have a look at the repository though, I am pretty sure you can find some pretty good configurations there.
2 things. First, please don't bump old threads. Second, IMO get a sunburst race and put drift rear tires on it. Or just check the repo! Edit: ninja'ed
I personally don't see anything wrong with bumping an old thread if you have something to contribute, and I think bumping a thread in many cases is better than creating a duplicate one, especially in a more "group" thread in general discussion as opposed to a single user asking for content creation help, which can be annoying for the original user.
Considering this thread has just been revived, does anybody know the map that i am replying to and was posted by Cartman372 in post #22. it looks interesting and great for drifting.
For those of you that might not have seen it, here's a map I made some months ago, Irohazaka, pretty cool for drifting in my opinion: http://beamng.com/threads/irohazaka-touge.22827/
Forgive me for asking but other than being a separate config. What have you actually done to the miramar. Have you added anything?
yea.....I tried to make it really perfect for drifting...... --- Post updated --- oh.. and i'm not good at English.... --- Post updated --- so.... DO you know anything bout how to make this to be a mod???
Best drift car: GGM with NA 5.5, LSD and steel rear wheels. (basically the police config, without the police stuff and drift steering)
I always saw the Hirochi SBR4 TT S2 and ETK Kc8t (latter from the DPMP) as nice drift cars, with a lot of power for breaking traction and good ESC for exiting the slide.
Shameless spam, I drift mostly with this because it is so easy even I can do sideways https://www.beamng.com/resources/t75-drifter.2091/ Also there is something that is right way wrong when drifting with a semi.
After hours of trial and error I found a setup that feels good, kinda similar to experiences in Forza. I started with hirochi rally, then lowered it, negative front camber, no rear camber, negative front toe, no rear toe, manual gear box, some big aero, max waste gate limit and some wider wheels. Then most importantly, I changed the 4WD torque distribution so only 20% was going to the front wheels. This means you can crank some crazy reverse entry angles but without the horribly sticky 4wd traction. I know it's kinda wrong to have a 4wd drifter but it works a treat
