WIP The Weekend Challenge

Hello everyone,

@AlexMD and I did a challenge togheter!
We've done this in almost the same way as the special episodes from MCM vs RK (Mighty Car Mods versus Roadkill).

We challenged eachother to create something extreme and/or unique from a official BeamNG vehicle, while teasing eachother a little bit with pictures of the progress we made during the weekend.

@AlexMD Had chosen for the Moonhawk.
He has cut the rear from the vehicle off and made a flatbed.



Custom wheels have been made and even an extra axle has been added to the vehicle.


The vehicle is powered by a giant twin turbo charged V10 engine which makes a enormous amount of torque

Hotrod Miramar

I (D-Troxx) had chosen to modify the Miramar into a hotrod style vehicle.

I have taken the engine from the burnside and edited the exhaust headers.
The front suspensions has been moved forward with 300mm and the frame has also been extended.
Custom wheels have been made for this vehicle too.

Besides the standard sedan body I also have made a coupe body. and a coupe body with a chopped roof.



In the future we will get this content game ready.

Both of them are AWESOME and you guys did a fantastic job in only a couple of days

 

It's this kind of weird and awesome challenges that inspire me to learn modeling and get good at it. Thanks.

why does this remind me of the grand tour?...



i cant wait to see this ingame! you should do more of this.... what did you use to model by the way?

 

I haven't actually seen the grand tour .

and we both used blender for this project .

 

I personally like both... A Moonhawk car carrier and a Miramar hotrod...

JK, I honestly like the carrier better, and hope its a dually. or tripally

I love both the Moonhawk and the Miramar, can´t wait to get them in game. I´d take the Moonhawk to haul the Miramar to some drag races what about renaming the Moonhawk into Moonhaul xD

Update time.

I have finished the front suspension on the miramar as well as the body jbeam for the sedan body.
The v8 has been thrown on a jbeam just to make it look even cooler for the picture xD.

 

The chopped coupe wins my vote ... <3 the headers.
(Just barely though, because the twin turbo v10 in the flatbed hauler is awesome too.)

 

Moonhawk wins my vote

 

Super cool stuff, reminds me alot of the old rigs of rods mod competitions that used to go on, was always fun so cool to see it happening here.

yes it does need to be jbeamed. only the modeling was part of the challenge, and now im working on the jbeam

 

I meant if the jbeaming was part of the challenge too. But ok lol.
not that great at modeling but i did manage to model this in a day ish.

I still need to finish the ute body but the wagon is done.
i could finish the ute pretty quickly but i ended up starting 2 other bodies before, but they took about a day to make.
would something like this still be good for a future challenge?

 

you never know unless you try , its fun to do.


and only the modeling was part of the challenge. the goal was to finish the idea. minor adjustments still have to be done ofcourse.

 

I like both and I would install both. Nice competition btw

 

Both are awesome! If I had to choose tho, the Moonhawk would be it! I am partial to the car anyway!!!
