I can´t recommend this. Always makes the game crash when you leave the track and after some crashes into the sticky guardrails you can have critical warnings. So I deleted it. There´s another Shuto (Midnight Run) but that is only the C1 loop but still great.
Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the C1 revamp that Car_Killer and many others contributed. The sticky guardrails are already a known issue, but very difficult to fix at the same time. Also, I have had no issues with the map, with no game crashes on my end whatsoever. That other C1 port you mentioned is not as optimized as this one, in my opinion. In addition, there are a few other features that the Midnight Run port lacks, but are present in this one; for example, weather, speed cameras, and traffic compatibility with parked vehicles, just to name a few. At the end of the day, however, it's up to you to decide which version you want to use. Hopefully, a future update to this one (whenever that time comes) will change your mind
The only thing I can think of that's causing you to crash on the map is that you're trying to run this mod, with a ton of other mods with only 16gb of memory. Other then that with your setup you shouldn't be having any issues.. I mean, I'm running on a Ryzen 5 3600x CPU and an old as heck MSI GTX 1070ti and I have the exact same Memory sticks as you but I'm running 32gb instead of just 16gb. Even with just 16gb of memory, on paper you should be way out-performing my setup and I can run this map with 90+ mods installed and traffic with high settings no problem. So before jumping the gun and saying that this mod/map is causing you to crash you should look at the other mods you're running as well, some might be outdated and may need to be removed, cause even with all the warnings that pop up in the console for me, the game still runs smoothly so your situation tells me there's something else going on. Also, RTX 2080 cards are known to have issues especially the first gen of that card series, so that might be something worth looking into as well. But besides all that, really the only issue I can think of is that you may have a memory/RAM issue.
Thanks for your advice! I don´t have a lot of mods installed (maybe 20, when I have time I write them in my signature, too) but I have a lot of maps (racetracks - maybe 90) so could this be a problem? I really love this one, even created a simple 166 km time-trail (complete outside and inside loop together) but gave up when the game crashed everytime I loaded a new car.
Well, if you're running 20 mods, and a few of them are heavy on memory usage, this mod itself takes 12gb of memory just to run this map and you only have 16gb of memory installed that could be what's causing you to crash. I'd say, if you are able to, pick up another 16gb worth of Corsair Vengeance if you can, that would probably solve the issue of crashing for you. Also, if you're driving not so great car mods that have broken code, it could be causing your memory usage to spike beyond the amount of available memory you have when you crash the car.
I now got my 32GB RAM, but the same thing happens again: after 1 timetrial trying to load another --> crash (I include the crash log in case anyone can make sense of it).
This issue is mentioned in the first post. You can workaround it with disabling "Dynamic Lights in imgui window" a minute before leaving map
Unfortunately not, fixing LOD popping up too close to the player is blocked by my work on another map port. Next update will rework lua side of things mostly, add better LODs and improve emissive materials to make them look good with the new bloom. A lot of materials will get proper animations so the map looks more alive. Also from smaller stuff lot of lights will get a subtle god ray effect and the whole map will get a new night cubemap.
I know you said you are busy, but any plans to improve the guardrail collisions? Them eating up cars is like the one thing from making this mod perfect.
Here is some time trials (simple without gates or prefabs) I created. Sadly I never managed to finish the 163km loop, today car-eating crash at km 136 (after the toll station on K1/1). Just extract into gameplay/temp/timetrials or levels/c1/quickrace. I think in the first case you will see it on the map and in the second you can see it in time trail menu.
i do have a issue the map don't work, game doesen't crash but desen't load either, i'm gonna try without other mods
Hey y'all, so I'm having a problem with the camera on this map. I can't get out of the free cam, the key binding simply doesn't work. If anyone could help me out here it would be much appreciated!
Hello, can I please talk to you through DMs or at least contact you in anyway possible, if so thank you.
