He said removing the normal map from the paint material should fix it. You can do that by pressing f11 and going to the materials tab.
You're only using the hotfix version of the ae86, right? Have you tried deleting the ae86 folder in vehicles? Should be in the 0.24 user folder, you can delete the folder without hesitation if you don't have any saved configs for the ae86. You could also try verifying integrity or reinstalling if that doesn't work
How do I do that? --- Post updated --- Erm, no, I'm using the normal mod, the one from the 1st post, and the latest hotfix
Press "launch game" on Steam, a menu will pop-up before you actually go into the main menu. Click support tools, click cache and you have 3 options. Click the top one, let it clear the cache and see if that or YksinäinenSusi's advice will fix it.
The two versions are conflicting. Completely remove the old version before downloading the new version.
look for "window" in the top left of your screen and then press "material editor". after the tab is opened, look for a texture named "Matte__FFFFFFFF__prim_env_12_spec_" click it, scroll down to the second layer and delete the normal map by pressing the trash button or erasing the file path. and don't forget to save it by pressing the save button on the materials editor.
0.24 check Everything still works fine Even the digital gauges surprisingly enough Any texure or material issue have been ironed out with the last hotfix so any issues that you're experiencing are on your side So before coming here and saying that the mod is broken do the basics procedures (aka: clear cache, delete ae86 folder in vehicles folder, reinstall mod) if that doesn't fix it it means you still have an older version of the mod somewhere find it delete it an then it should work fine. -2004bmw530d
Hey, thanks for the advice ya told me! It removed half of the "NO MATERIAL" textures, but only 4 of them are still there. One of them are the rear end, on the right door, left quarter panel, and the left fender. I followed thru your instructions very clear, yet it seems like I gotta remove the other 4 "NO MATERIAL"s --- Post updated --- The only NO MATERIAL that got removed was the roof, the hood, right quarter panel, right fender, and the trunk. I forgot to mention that-
oh yeah i forgot to mention. look for "blackbump" and remove its normal map aswell. --- Post updated --- deleting the vehicles folder also gets rid of your custom configs so beware!
The only NO MATERIAL that got removed was the roof, the hood, right quarter panel, right fender, and the trunk. I forgot to mention that- Thank you so much for the help on how to fix the textures for the AE86 bro!! <3 --- Post updated --- The only NO MATERIAL that got removed was the roof, the hood, right quarter panel, right fender, and the trunk. I have a question for you Are you blind or are you pretending to be blind? Cuz if you're pretending i really admire your stubbornness
hey, don't know if you're still going to keep updating this but just wanted to let you know that there's a problem where if you try and use any wheels from the d-troxx pack under 15" on the rear, they just disconnect for no apparent reason which is a real shame as I wanted to make an extremely period build with an old set of Advans, as I'm pretty sure that the only reason that the production for Advan A3As was extended until 2000 was specifically for 86 fitment and I wanted to make something resembling an OEM+ car with a set of them
that happened to me before :/ just stick with the wheels that are only for the AE86, not the D-Troxx pack since it breaks the rear wheels of your AE86. heck, there's even a 14x7 RS-Watanabe rims in there too.
The wheels fall off on the old versions. Please download the newest versions before reporting any issues. EDIT: Just checked and the Advans work fine in any size.
