How much casual should the translation be? For example there is the concept of more formal addressing, I am sure more languages have it. Like in Czech, when you are addressing a person you don't call by his or her first name, you phrase it like you are addressing more people. It became quite common for games of even commercials to use the casual addressing, I suppose people rarely take it offensive. I try to avoid the second person nominative all together. Anyway there are more aspects to it. Some games try to be so cool that it looks like 14yo girls made it. On the other hand, if it is too serious, it might look like instructions about how to perform heart surgery. Would you like the game feel very casual? Can there be hints of jokes or sarcasm? How do you guys translate it to your languages?
