Tutorial: How to add your own music to the Gavril Vertex

So basically there's no cache as mentioned in the code for it to play causing it to not work maybe?

 

never knew the Vertex was based off a Focus. You learn something new everyday!

So as the instructions are further going on to the programming, you are actually saying to change the file path. In order to do so will you need to change only the last part or the the whole options in order to work? If so what should I exactly put in it?

 

If you put your files into the music folder like shown, you just need to put the exact file name into the all caps part of it. Don't forget to make not be a comment as well

Any Unicode characters can be used in the file path. Simply replace the CAPS text in the pre-made path with the exact file name of your sound file. Make sure to remove the — in front of the path to make it not be a comment, like said in the instructions

 

can the music be only bgm or can it also take vocals also? Because I would like to have that. It is actually a DJ song type.

You mean you choose any option from these four. not compulsory to fill out the whole CAPS right?

 

I don’t know what you mean by this. Just put your audio file in there, replace the whole CAPS text in the file path

Any sound. Literally anything that is an MP3, OGG or similar sound file format that can be read by BeamNG

 

ok the only issue i have in understanding is this --play_song_dir = "art/sound/music/YOUR FILE NAME HERE" can you please show an example of how to fill these things

also is it required to use only notepad ++? Beause in the normal on i have to write the sonlength to make it work and autoplay

 

Any text editor works.
The song length is just there for the autoplay.
Turn —play_song_dir = "art/sound/music/YOUR FILE NAME HERE
Into
play_song_dir = "art/sound/music/whateveryoursoundfileis.mp3

 

so it can take vocal also right?

 

For the love of god, as long as it is any form of audio file, it will work. The genre does not matter, the content of it does not matter.
