It should be.
It's a nice tutorial although I feel you have missed some points. I think you should update it since the game has changed a bit and the files have changed too. It would be nice if there were a video tutorial for the better understanding for the people.
sorry for the bump but i cant figure out how to swap the sbr engine in the sunburst ive done the first three steps but it shows the sunburst engine but not the sbr engine
Even I've attempted the same swap, I was almost succesfull but I have the same problem
maybe becuase of the nature of the engine? Because the SBR4 is a rear engined car and the sunburst is a front engined one? Also it seems like the wheight is in the rear as it goes down when im able to get it showing up in the selector
Even when the radiator is damaged, the smoke comes from the back !
That is most likely the issue.
When you "port" the engine, does it show up in the trunk? Did you replace the flexbodies properly?
have to try that again i also have alot of problems with my folder structure so i need to do that again tommorow
Na, it doesn't show up in the trunk either
Ill try again tommorow again with renaming the flexbodies and hope itll work then
EDIT: So i a least got it to show up as a mod but the engine wont show up ingame Maybe you find whats wrong
Sorry for doubleposting but i now renamed the flexbodies and now even less is showing up. Should i maybe ask mod support?
Before that, explain exactly what youve done so far.
rename the second "sbr_engine" in the flexbody section to "sunburst_engine" and that should be fixed
also you should rename the second line of your jbeam file to something else so it wont replace the stock 2.0 engine
so after doing that it now shows up at the back of the car how do i move it forward? Also @wrinkle345 i renamed everything in the files to sunburst except the flexbodies
I am extremely confused, im trying to swap the 6.2L v8 into the 200bx, I go into the 200bx engine jbeam and do alt+f and replace "coupe" with "pickup" and now my engine is gone, it doesn't show up.

Super helpful thread, but there’s nothing about what files I’m opening/modifying. Any help would be very appreciated.
I think I've done something wrong... Someone could give the material.cs from the Hopper ? And plz explain me how to make the 378 CUI V8 engine visible. Also, sorry for my bad English.
