I think many of you guys may be forgetting that fiat did actually fix that: It does look a bit weird seeing 3 people in the front row of a car though:
Not all of em had 3 seats. The centre seat could be removed and there was a range of accessories available to take its place, often fitted from factory instead of having the seat by default. We went to look at one and it had a motherfucking minifridge. Hell I think the standard option was just a storage box with a padded top that could double as an arm rest. I know there was also a 2nd mounting location for both the driver and main passenger seat so they could be moved closer together as more conventional, think even with the front 2 people being closer, it was technically roomier as you werent up against the door, again I think the storage box option was slightly narrower to still fit in this setup. Its a cool way of doing things really. Quite a configurable car. Just really damn ugly, I do think that the concept picture above though is ok looking (not great, hardly ugly).
My family was going to get one but we got a Citroen Xara Picasso instead because they were safer. We then got a second one when the first one became more trouble than it was worth... We had two of the things totaling around 8 years, only had a single break down though. Woo for Citroen's infamous build quality, i am assuming things are far better these days since i don't hear of many issues. http://www.euroncap.com/tests/fiat_multipla_2001/95.aspx http://www.euroncap.com/tests/citroen_picasso_2001/81.aspx Neither of them are safe by today's standards.

depends on tastes, i personally think it looks pretty decent, not the best looking semi-truck in the world, but not bad either
