UIApp to enforce speedlimit

Hi

Would it be possible to create an UI app that allows to set a hard speed limit for the vehicle, so that no matter how hard you press the throttle, the vehicle doesn't accelerate beyond a specific speed?

Question is because my son loves to fool around in Beam.NG but it would help him if i could limit so he can only go at say max 30kph.

I'm not that familiar with the UI apps so don't know if it is possible.

 

There is already an app that does that, which is the Cruise Control App.

 

Oh, thought that it just set the speed (auto accelerate, keep vehicle at specific speed), not limited it.. what i mean is that if you stop, reverse or what ever, change vehicle, and then accelerate, it won't go past a specific speed. I don't mean a keep it at a specific apeed, but just a limiter of "top speed".

 

The cruise control app allows you to manually set a speed, and the vehicle will accelerate or brake to that specific set speed if the cruise control is enabled while you are changing that.

For example:
Set above 50 MPH -> Vehicle acclerates to set speed.
Set below 50 MPH -> Vehicle brakes to set speed.

 

Exactly, so not what i was asking for.

 

Good idea, it would also help stop speeding for those that like to roleplay.
@Benjamin Tam he is talking about setting a speed limiter, no at all like setting cruise control. eg. many IRL cars have their top speed electronically limited, being able to adjust this limit would prove useful.

probably could make one based off of modified cruise control code. Just modify so it doesn't automatically disable cruise control with manual throttle/brake input and prevent the cruise control from increasing throttle, only allow decrease
