    It is experimental
    The front engine kicks in after gear 2 at around 2/3000rpm
    It also uses two gearboxes the front engine using a cvt, with no neutral gear hence why it seems to run on neutral with the rear engines gearbox (weird techy jargon)

    Could you please the mod for 0.17? Game claims ibishu pigtrailer as a vehicl and spawns it to traffic.

    As you might have noticed by now, there has not been any progress in a while. I am currently in my final year of school and am currently spending all of my time on my school work. As for now, the mod won't be updated untill I have more (free) time.

    I mean, that’s like diesel run away territory lol.
    Maybe if there is a way make it have the signature diesel popcorn sounds when it bounces off redline, that would be cool.

    To my knowledge the time needed for diesel self ignition puts the upper limit of a diesel piston engine to arround 5500 RPM. Power loss happens before that as there is less and less time available for the diesel to properly distribute and self ignite.

    Diesel engines tend to have longer strokes due to their increased compression ratio which further limits the max RPM.

    Lastly, unlike gasoline engines which need very high RPM to deliver power, diesels have far more torque, allowing them to remain at lower RPMs for the same total power output which further increases the efficiency difference and makes going all the way to the redline pretty pointless.
