Not even close. The GTR is an AWD Twin Turbo Corvette killer, and the 370z is just a RWD sports car with a responsive NA engine .
I wasn't really talking about performance, I was thinking about the body style of the two. If you put them side by side, you can see they look really similar. And I'm pretty sure a Corvette could beat a GTR, but I don't want to start a flame war.
Oh yeah, both being 2 door coupes sharing Nissan's range-wide design language, they do look quite similar. About the GTR/Corvette thing, I'm just basing myself off this image from the 2015 models' lap times at the nurburgring. If you used to browse 4chan's /o/ board like me (don't bother going if you haven't, there's nothing of value there...), you'll certainly be familiar with this one:
That means it's well designed and engineered. If a 10 year old car holds up to modern standards with only a facelift, that's definitely something impressive
It's definitely a timeless design, but its age shows when you take a look at the interior: General quality problems aside, the design of this interior is distinctly old. Last time I saw a shifter like that it was on a 2nd opel corsa (pic below)
It does look quite old now, thankfully nissan released a new interior design for the new facelifted model
Which looks terrible... The old interior (or the old dashboard rather) was fine in my opinion, the new one just looks generic as hell I still love the GT-R though
Pfffff... 1979 2010 31 years without major cosmetical changes, still a bestseller- now that's what I call perfection.
Nah. You gotta wait for them to release a candy coloured electric one. Following insuit with the new 'bus' thing Yay...
It's easy to keep a car going for 3 decades in Russia, where safety is more of a suggestion than anything else in europe however, there was no way VW could keep selling the beetle with emissions and safety standards getting stricter by the year...
And less so in America, where emission standards are sky high. I still really like the old beetle, and the new ones not that bad.
I think that 70s GM had a lot better offerings that 70s Mercedes, given how far your dollar got you in each company.
