:/ well, a CVT in a semi is slower than the normal transmission. I don't know how to code the transmission, so maybe add a long ratio transmission or something?

 

It's slower to accelerate but it is capable of achieving much higher speeds. The problem with a single long-gear DCT transmission is that the friction in the engine will constantly be wanting to slow down the semi to its crawl speed. When my SBR super engine was a long gear DCT, every time I let off the throttle at even 50-80mph, the wheels would almost screech due to the amount of reverse torque the engine is putting on the wheels. A CVT solves that issue and acts similarly to a long gear DCT, except that my CVT has fairly even acceleration, while the DCT long gear ones have high acceleration to start and slowly fall off.

Really? I'll have to check it when I get home but when I tested it before uploading, the stock engine sounds worked.
The secondary issue is that with the default sounds working, my custom cars play both the default and custom sounds at once due to a flaw in how sounds are loaded. Default plays even if a custom sound is loaded.

 

Ok so it turns out whoever approved my mod didn't approve the sound fix update so it's just a matter of approval for the fix now. In the mean time, you can get it here:

 

I plan on adding skins for the pack. Is there anything specifically you'd like to see? I tend to go for more abstract liveries and not so much racing style ones with tons of sponsors.

I've ported the V8 + supersonic mod to the 200bx. I've also made it AWD with ESC, and I made new tires, steering and brakes to accomodate to the insane amount of power. Do you want to look at the files ?

Yes, I plan to eventually add customizations for every vehicle.

 

I added a 200BX for version 2.3 and reduced stickiness of sbr and sunburst tires to make it more realistic. Get an early copy if you want to test it before it's approved!
