Can't wait to thrash the new crossover around on dirt roads. Literally so hyped rn. Also Hopper crawler is cool.
i absolutely love this little indent swoosh that encompasses the rear door handle- little details like that are so freaking cool, dude.
Why am I reminded of Maserati? Maybe it's some sort of luxury/performance crossover? oh, and THIS was in the first paragraph of the devblog... "There’s also a roll cage for those moments where you go from extreme pucker factor to sudden release, if you catch our drift" Why would you need a roll cage for lemonade that's too sour? Don't understand the release bit either. /s
the grill also gave me that vibe and regarding performance, im guessing that it will have 420hp at max with either an i4 or an i5 like the rs3
Four or five cylinder is almost guaranteed because of size, maybe a V-6 engine as well. Really hope there's an offroad variant with 4WD/AWD and a beefy engine.
damn, the trailer for this new car is so well edited. but now, im going to drive the hopper crawler..weeee.
this is certainly a hatch the distance from the rear doors to the back of the car is waaay too small for this to be an suv, even with how raked today's crossovers are. i just can't wait to see what they've done / they'll do with the interior!
The lower end models could be using an i3 engine as they are very common in smaller modern cars. Low end models could aswell have fake exhaust pipes, as those are popular for some reason... The highest end engine will probably be an i4 or an i5.
Seems there is a bit of Hyndai i30 N in it , and some bits from other hot hatches. Wouldn't be too surprised if the enginen is an i4-2.0l -Turbo with aroud 300 horses.
Seems a tad large for an i3, considering the Chevy Trax (Teeny little thing) has a four banger as smallest option.
Here in the eu even many bigger hatchbacks have i3's. Edit: For example even the wagon versions of opel astra's have i3 engines as a starting point.
my only worry with this new machine is that the front seems a tad droopy and stunted, and the wheelbase is just a lil bit long, which makes it look quite a fair bit less sporty and nimble- albeit we are seeing about 1/10th of a grayscale version of the car so, ay, i'll hold my peace for now. also if this is indeed actually a super small crossover then i guess that makes sense.
Most crossovers are weird and stumpy now and days. See: Kia Niro (Possibly my favorite crossover) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Niro
