Update Speculation thread

Actually Japanese mid-size sedans those years update a generation per 5~6 years. So the '89 and '99 in game now are probably Mk1 and Mk3, and the concept stage '94 could be a completly new car

 

wait, the curent pessima is from 96, so the 94 could be aslo a pre-facelift. or they later changed the year from the list to 96.

The two in game was originally designed as '89 and '99 at the time when concept stage plans was still there. Later changed to '88 and '96 sometime around v0.5.x? And yes, it make no sense that '94 only produced for 2 years, but since gabe deleted the concept stage cars, maybe it's gone forever? And there are no point to make a '94 because there weren't any new technologies that BeamNG needs to simulate came out between 1988 and 1993 as far as I know

 

The Hopper is probably going to be the next car in. And one other thing, why are the devs denying the list yet making the cars from the list?

I REALLY want to see what the Flumine looks like when it's done.

 

According to the wiki soliad is Oldsmobile or Pontiac so it wouldn't fit at all.

It's an old picture that was on the wiki of official content and it was supposed to represent cars in the concept stage with no progress. Not sure if the community or devs made it. It got removed one day. I still have a copy of it (attached to this post).

They might have thought that it was a fitting name.

 

I don't think that the devs pick the community's names. I mean, remember when gabe posted on the Sparrow thread. He named it the Hopper, not the Sparrow. It seems quite suspicious that the notorious list was removed by the devs pretty quickly, and that it predicted 2 of the current cars.

 

Hopper is actually a registered name, if you don't believe, search "Tunturi Hopper" in google... But still a nice name for jeepish car.

Alright, let's say that the list was made by the devs. Then they might have removed because they are concepts AKA "not sure if it will be made. It may or may not be created for the game."

Well maybe he didn't want another car named after a bird.

 

A fictional game car brand name can be in real what ever you want. Soliad would fit, but it's to late for namechange anyway.

Well not really. You wouldn't name a american muscle car Hiroshi or a Russian lada ETK would you?

 

no, but it's half a wrangler... so it's half american and soliad would fit. ibishu does also fit, but we have so much ibishus
same with pigeon, which is a half italian piaggo (they should name it civetta, not ibishu)
